Oregon Coastal Day Camp in the Rain | Silent Film
I wanted to try something different so I decided to do a more cinematic type video. In this short silent film, I hike past the giant pines and make my way down past a stream to the ocean where I pitch my tarp tent and have some tea. I did try orienting the tent in different directions but since I was in a small canyon, the wind kept switching on me. I had a blast out there but pretty much got pummeled by the wind and rain…

I think this video was better than others Ive seen! What a unique and risky campsite. No talking is what makes it cool also. I like rain camping videos with no talking. This one was Bad to the Bone.

Another spectacular video Alex. I am truly inspired! I love the sound of the rain, and then as you got closer to the ocean, you could hear the waves crashing before you saw it. Stunning video!

I do these day camps in the mountains here. Plan a lunch, brew a coffee, and enjoy the area. Get some hiking miles, get to setup a camp, and then go home. Good times.

Beautifully well filmed very Atmosferic, that wooded Area Looks to be very special Absolutely Stunning to Watch, I have a Luxe Hexpeak Tent and sometimes when out on a walk I will bring it along with me to use as a shelter while I make a Brew and just Chill out, I think this is the Lanshan you have here, its being used by a lot of wild campers over here in the UK and its proving to be an Excellent shelter for the price and liteweight to, Enjoyed Watching, Stay Safe, Les.

Dethrone55 many thanks! I used the Sony a6400 with the 10-70 Sony Zeiss lens for 95 % of the shots and the Nikon d850 for the closeup shots. As for the drone it was the Mavic 2 Pro. Cheers!
Awesome video. Very relaxing. I live in Portland and visit the Oregon coast often. This looks really familiar but I can't quite make it out. Would you be so kind to tell me where this is?

Hi Steven, it’s been a few years, but if I recall, I shot this at Arch Cape, it’s just a little ways South of Cannon Beach. This was more of just stay cinematic type video for me.

Every deforestation occurs before trees can really grow do that 3 or 4 times & this leaves the next generations with sapling toothpicks instead of actual trees
'Silent' film? Or, to be more precise, perhaps you mean no self-indulgent, egocentric banter by the maker? Present company excluded, of course. 😂😂😂. One of my favorite videos was a 4-night winter video by Bushcraft Bear. His channel has since undergone some name changes but nonetheless, an excellent video and he never said a word throughout. An excellent video on your part, also. Cheers
