Once the eyes blow out on your Yellow Eye or other rockfish they're done. The fish sustain massive internal injuries when their bladders expand. The volume of the gas in their bladder doubles from 30 ft to the surface....that's what finishes them off.

@@AnglerWestTV The camera man was nice enough to clearly show the coordinates on that TV of a sonar 🤣Several of us already copied them into ours! As good of a try it was for the captain to mislead people by calling it the chicken ranch ;)

I’m having a hard time with the electric reels. The easier it is the less fun IMO. And more people will be inclined to participate.

Exactly! Screw all those folks with disabilities or who aren't in good enough shape to reel in 800 feet of fighting fish! Keep all those folks off the water. / sarcasm Seriously if you don't like power assist then row your ass out 25 miles brainiac.

Using electric reels somehow detracts from fishing. We used to call lings "lawyer fish." They're flat headed, ugly, mouth full of sharp teeth, and greedy. Perfect lawyer fish.

All depth days so no need LL gear. Just a regular bottom set up is good.
