Oregon Camping & Cooking with a View | Living Out of my 4Runner
Last video of 2022. It was a little delayed but I was finally able to finish this video I recorded back in July when I was in Oregon.
Now that we are in the winter season, editing this video made me miss those long summer days.
This year has been one for the books. Hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making it. Happy new year everyone! May the new year bring more adventures and wonderful memories :)
Here is the recipe for the dinner I made:
1 lb. of skinless chicken breast
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
salt and pepper
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves of garlic
1 cup dry orzo pasta
1/3 cup dry white wine
1 cup heavy cream
1/3 grated parmesan cheese
2 cups baby spinach
1/2 sun-dried tomatoes (oil drained)
juice of 1 lemon
fresh rosemary for garnish and serving

The reason is because broadcasting my location can attract more people to the area, potentially leading to overuse and negative impacts on the environment. Sharing geolocation can lead to a surge in visitors seeking the same picturesque spots and over time, this can degrade the natural beauty that initially attracted you and others to the location. An evening of culinary delight under the watchful gaze of a Mt. Hood - a symphony of flavors and a breathtaking view that words can hardly capture. Join me as I cooke up a storm and set up camp in this picturesque haven. Let's relish the magic of the moment together! 🌄🍳🏕
There's just something about the 4runner and overland culture that has a soothing and healing nature to it. That combined with the aesthetic videography and lo-fi, it makes me look forward to my personal 4runner build and my adventures to come. Hope to see more of your content down the line.

The connection to nature in this video is palpable. Offroading and overlanding are true escapes to the wild!
Fascinating video. I camped in Oregon national forest last year and it was amazing. From Colorado here and we got tons of great places for disperse camping.
A brotha You definitely have talent in the overlander culture. Your culinary skills are excellent and very sultry. Your video editing is perfect, checking out the build while the Orzo cooks down is genius. Great Job. Greetings from a fellow overlander in San Luis Obispo CA.
Good build, campsite, food, chill music, and absolutely flawless videography! This is some seriously good work. Many thanks!

This is why I receive my 4Runner Wednesday. Can't wait to spend time in the outdoors
I subscribed the moment you videoed the wild flowers. I'm one who appreciates nature. Thanks for showing the same appreciation.

Nice video chef Ramsey 😊. I miss my home. The most beautiful place on earth. Well done video of the mount Hood forest
One of the things i miss about Oregon are the views and the beautiful natural environment of the area. Great video man!👍
One of the best videos I’ve seen, thank you for sharing.
I love this type of videos!
Amazing video. Great production Certainly sets a vibe 😎 Thank you Sir 🫡
You have a very nice 4 runner. I see a lot camping videos and a lot of these guys also have Toyotas. I also own one and am a huge Toyota guy myself. When your in the middle of nowhere the last thing you want is to be stranded but you can always count on Yotas to take you home.
first couple minutes were so beautiful I started tearing up. wow.
Damn! That dish looks so good. Can't wait to give it a shot even at home!
That opening scene with the mountain backdrop is breathtakingly beautiful. And I can’t imagine the amount of work shooting those scenes alone, plus the editing. Big beautiful country there, enjoy!
I didn’t know this was a cooking channel 😄. That looked so delicious! 🙌🏽
so relaxing love it
Great video Francis! Wish I could be out there with you.. awesome beautiful views! Takes me back when my Dad and I would go to the High Sierra’s in California!! Nothing like being outdoors! Keep rolling my friend! FYI… just put my deposit on my 4Runner TRD PRO ICE CAP… get rig you have there…
I came to see a tour of the 4Runner but got completely sidetracked on how bomb that chicken orzo was. Impeccable recipe and execution, cheers!
Just stumbled upon your channel. Your videos are super underrated! It’s a surprised you’re not getting more visibility. Love your work man
I really enjoyed this video! The videography is well done, keep it up👍
Awesome video. I got a 4Runner rigged with a tent. Makes me want to hit the road again. The call of the wild.
beautiful sunset...thanks for sharing
Ahh, thanks for the beautiful Video, I need a reset - Hahaha! Miss being out there.
I know that spot quite well, Francis. It’s a good one. I grew up on this mountain, spent lots of my childhood there, and it’s a huge part of me. Dude, you absolutely crushed it on showing how beautiful it is in that intro. Well done, man. Makes me miss it.

Great video Francis. Thank you for sharing, I'm curious how you set up your drawers when you head out on a trip. Thank you.
That dinner looked amazing ! Awesome video!
Definitely thinking of doing the same with my 4runner. Looking forward to seeing where you head off to next!
Love your content!! I think it’s so cool how you’re traveling and living out of your 4Runner. I was wondering if you’ll do like a Q&A or something similar on what that life looks like (laundry, social life, etc) because i want to know if i could do that someday

My buddy and I used to do this same camping up in WA with the view of Rainier - Dark sky, all the bright stars were out, talking stories and drinking port until 3am. Man that was the best. I just recently moved down to Portland with my 4Runner and hoping to find the same kind of spots. This looks amazing my man!! Just found you and subscribed. You're videos are fun to watch, keep it up man!

I took a photo with my wife in that exact same spot! We compared the trees to the ones in our photo. There was a dead tree standing when we were there!
My dogs and I enjoyed your video and your dinner looked amazing! Thank you for sharing
Lovely video! Here a quick Observation: Aeropress... Put the plunger a few mil in and set it upside down :) No drips plus you are able to let the grounds steep a little bit; inkluding stirring. Then add the Lid with Filter... turn and press. I noticed a hugeeee difference in flavor. Love your content. keep it coming!

Such awesome shots, man! Really looking forward to more content with the 4runner and your setup. 🤙How do you like the ultra swing? Is it worth it compared to a full-size rear bumper?
@francisngo
Жыл бұрын
Thanks! More videos coming for 2023! To your question, I much prefer a tire swing as it doesn't require any cutting to the 4Runner's body and it fits my needs so at least for me, its worth it. Additionally, with the sidehack, you can mount just as much accessories as you can with a full-size rear bumper.
Type of quality that will make it
Nice 4R, nice views
great vids! Love the cinematic shots
Sweet!! What a view to go to bed with and wake up to at your campsite. Mount Hood looks magnificent & spectacular! No imperfections in Earth's Eden that I can see. Just Mother nature working in perfect harmony and peace as she always has since the beginning of creation. Ah, and that dinner, buen provecho! I've never had, seen or knew about Orzo pasta. Definitely added to my list of new dinners to try. Always looking for new ways to add some new character and addition to plain ol' seasoned chicken breasts even though they are yummy. And with that view! Amazing!
