I need to chime in. After 10 days I ran over some loose Berber carpet which got wrapped around the roller. The vacuum did not come with a manual and pulling it up on my phone was too hard to see the diagram of what screw to remove. It has star shaped screws. I tried a few times to get in touch with customer service and finally the chat option was working. They told me I needed a T15 or T20 torx screwdriver “available at any hardware store”. $11 and days later I had to buy a full set of torx screwdrivers at lowes to get the right size, which was the T20, the T15 was too loose. Customer service would not send me a manual, would not supply regular Phillips head replacement screws and told me to buy the wrong screwdriver. So, if you’re here to figure out how to get the roller out, you’ll need to buy a T20 Torx screwdriver. The vacuum is great but I’m disappointed with the customer service on this $$$ vacuum. Hello. I have the same oreck and it will turn on and off within a second. What do you think the issue is?

So, after 5 months are you still loving it? Also have you owned any others. I've owned Kirby and Shark and they were great although the Kirby was heavy, and the Shark seems to be losing suction after a while even after cleaning.

The suction on the Oreck never seems to fade. I've owned another Oreck and I've owned a Hoover. The Hoover honestly lost suction within a year. My old Oreck's suction is still incredibly strong and that thing is 10 years old! Even though they're expensive, I feel like you buy a vacuum way less often, so it's worth it.

If you want to get your carpet super clean, Kirby vacuums are one of the few machines that will remove nearly everything. Most vacuums do not. I understand that they aren't practical to use as a daily driver machine, but most people don't realize that most vacuums do not deep clean carpet
