I love how each region in Genshin is immediately noticeable in the OST. You could close your eyes and know where you are just by the music. It's so well composed.

I love how you picked up that the start of the second piece “sounds like a rainstorm”. I never actually saw it like that despite hearing this soundtrack possibly hundreds of times by now, but now I can definitely hear that, and it feels so obvious and intentional in hindsight. Thank you for the new perspective!

Such a cool reaction, and honestly, same lol. Inazuma is my favorite region in genshin (despite writiing/pacing issues it has), and the music is a huge factor on why! I think people explained already how each region is inspired by real locations and cultures, and each region has their own main element and an overal theme - Fontaine, the first you reacted to, is Water element and "justice" themed; Sumeru is flora/plants and "Wisdom". Inazuma's element is electricity/lightning and its themed after the concept of "Eternity". And it's so interesting and cool how they manage to showcase these themes into every region's themes! The taiko drums are everywhere in battle themes, because they represent the thunder and lightning in the land, and the conflicts that are happening in the region, when we get there. The music in incredible as it is without context, but the more you go into the game's lore and understanding the decisions and choices made by the composers, the more impressive it gets!

Right, it's one of the reasons why I love Inazuma's OST so much, but also Liyue's and Sumeru's, it features a lot of awesome folk instruments from everywhere, and I think that's so rad! Fontaine's OST is my least favorite of all of them, there are some AMAZING tracks in it (Shade of Flowers, The Drifting Beauty, Year of Tribulation and Magick Without Tears are the ones that come to my mind, for exemple), but I'm so much more "picky' with Fontaine's music than other regions! I think it's exactly bc other regions have a lot more diversity and more "unique" elements to them, in comparison~

I'm so in love with your genshin reactions, such a joy to watch these performances with someone who shares that music passion. Thanks for another one, didn't expect it to be out so soon! I really, really hope you'll be able to react to their big concerts as well in some near future, especially the very first one from 2021 ("Melodies of an Endless Journey") and live Shanghai performance from 2023. There are also "Melodies of an Endless Journey" from 2022 and 2023, but I liked these other two the most, so I'm only speaking for myself here and what I, personally, would love to see :D They're over 90 minutes long though, so if that's an issue, you could try doing it in parts or something :3 Fingers crossed :D

Agreed. The concerts are great, and will also show you interpretations of the music other than the original. I might also recommend the "Duel in the Mist" MV if you want something shorter that's also a semi-traditional performance of Japanese-inspired music.

I am hoping she will do the "Reflections of Spring" mini-concert next with "Liyue" as she has been listening to each regional theme in reverse order (Fontain -> Sumeru -> Inazuma). If one jumps past the dead space at the beginning, it is a more manageable 21 minutes long: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aqeqzpKsgbuqfKw.html I like how the mini concert focuses on the orchestra and ends with the "Liyue" theme.

I saw your reaction to the previous two others and immediately subscribed! I'm so happy to see more new people diving into Genshin's phenomenal music, especially someone with a background such as yours. I really enjoyed your reaction! Your awe and amazement hearing these soundscapes is contagious-- I felt as though I'm hearing them again for the first time! Inazuma's themes are definitely more somber, and I actually started tearing up at 0:55 because you mentioned it LOL 😭 I'd love to suggest > "Sumeru OST "Forest of Jnana and Vidya Preview MV" and > "Sumeru OST "Forest of Jnana and Vidya" Promotional MV" (yes they're different😂) from Genshin's official channel as well. Theya are not exactly in an orchestra setting, but they put the members in a landscape to match the vibe or inspiration of the song! I'm sure it'll be a treat for the eyes and heart as well. As an avid Genshin fan myself, I look forward to seeing more of your reactions in their other music! Welcome to their beautiful and diverse world, and I hope you enjoy it! More love and power to your channel! ✨✨

I have listened to more than 20.000 music in my life from all kind of different genre and for me this is the most beautiful music I have ever heard. Definitely one of my fav OST of all time. I have probably listened to it for over 1k times in the past few years since it was first released (I bought the album) God bless everyone that is involved in the production. edit: I'm talking about Inazuma Main Theme, I love Inazuma OST in general but the main theme is easily my personal fav

6:00 As much as I love the keyboards, just hearing such stunning xylophone and marimba hurts me, when I think my marimba playing days are so long past. I'll likely take my last breath one day wishing I had played again. This music was beyond description.

Strictly speaking, the traditional Japanese drum should be called Wadaiko (和太鼓). Taiko in Japan as a general name for the "drum". That is to say, any drum in the world can be called taiko, like Western Taiko (西洋太鼓), Korea taiko, Chinese taiko and so on.
