Orchard Walnut Catch-All Tray

This is my second design for a catch-all tray. This one is made from orchard walnut, which is one of my favorites, but unfortunately is in limited supply. I like that it is one larger pocket, even though the size overall is smaller than my first design, with the engraving at the bottom of the tray. These are customizable and available in different wood types! Let me know what you think!!

it is waste to use a noble wood, to carve into it when there would have been a way to do otherwise while respecting the direction of the fibers allowing good resistance to the "Useless" object that was made.

@@friendchrist3550 all of the orchard walnut pieces that are available for purchase are cut-offs used by a furniture store. The pieces are almost exactly that size so I’m not sure I would call it a “waste” but I’ll keep that in mind! Also, most of the cutting does go with the grain so I’m not exactly sure what you are talking about. What would you have made with a 5”x9” piece of wood?

@@isabellawilliams7957 basically a noble wood is something that comes from a slower growing tree and is usually more expensive. I think walnut is a noble wood which might have been what triggered my new friend. 😬
