Taken on Saturday, April 6th. At the end of the video (2:01) you will see an orca calf (CA200E), this calf was newly documented on this day and is part of the Bigg’s killer whale CA200 matriline. By the time we caught up with them they had just finished hunting a sea lion and were back on the move.
I apologize that this video is all over the place, trying to record speedy orcas against the waves is not an easy task, and one I don’t get to practice often. I have probably gone whale watching 30+ times by now, and as much as I love seeing all the species, I go in hopes to see orcas, but have only seen them 3-4 times. Thanks for watching!
