@@minimal3dp infill density. In Cura /creality it was straight forward. In orca it's confusing. I have more layer control for single extrude filament changes, but it seems way more complex

Thanks for sharing. Those tips should help a lot of newcomers to the hobby. I print some silk and usually don't have stringing issues. You made sure the filament was dry as well I assume? I know it is not that hygroscopic mind you. The biggest downside to silk though is layer adhesion. So I hope the trophy lasts a while. Cheers

It was actually french out of a well sealed package. It was dry (as far as I could tell). Try he end result was pretty good.

Hello, what would a good retraction test range for a high flow kit be? I was using a CR Sprite Pro and had dial in the stringing issues but after I changed to a high flow, oozing and stringing was damn apparent.

I would look at something under 1, like .3-1. Test retraction distance and speed to get the best results.

Given how little stringing you ended up with, would a quick swipe with a temperature controlled heat gun or a small torch, take care of what’s left?

Probably but my wife was happy with the results. I was also worried that the thin sections would not hold up. I might try it on my extra tower.

Hi just to let you know there is a pre made printer profile in orca slicer now for the ender 3 S1 plus, but ironically they have set the retraction at 8mm so watch out for that if you decide to use it 👍

Already got bit by the 8mm. I printed a square and the side fell off. No filament in the corners. Thanks for the heads up.

Wait you have z hop on?? That's gonna cause a ton of stringing

I appreciate what you did and I understand the limitations. But this is neither a "Perfect Print" nor has it "banished stringing". It merely has reduced it.

i print almost exclusive silk filaments, and for me the way to get rid of 99.5% stringing was by disabling z-hop. this on a direct drive with volcano nozzle
