Nice vid mate. I use Bathe+. These sort of shampoos aren't for everyone, they're a bit niche tbh. They're great for when you're in a rush as I always am when doing the cars given I work away a lot. Gyeon need to give their heads a wobble even though I'm a fan. 20ml in a bucket isn't enough, around 30-40ml to 15L would be good however, I use this through a lance, 30ml to 400ml water and its absolutely banging. Good to see all the lather went at the same time, too many people mark a shampoo down "suds disappear to quick." As long as its slick amd cleans just like BH Auto Wash a massively underrated shampoo. To go with your point about the GT that of course its going to do well at that dilution, this is what I hear about decon shampoos such as GT Zero being slick, any shampoo is slick at 60ml. Try them through a lance mate it's so much better, especially Bathe+. I don't think these are marketed as stand alone products and I certainly wouldn't rely on them as such.

Very interesting video! If you allow me, I have 3 comments: 1) I personally found that you get the most out of „ceramic“ shampoos (let‘s call them sealing shampoos) if you wash your car with a regular shampoo and wash mitt, rinse, and then pour the sealing shampoo in its pure form into a sponge (NOT microfibre) and then apply it onto the wet car, and then rinse again. Microfibres tend to absorb the sealing agents too much. By using a sponge, you corcumvent that. Also, using it in its pure form, it tends to be more economical and the effect (hydrophobics) tends to be much better. 2) One extremely important aspect in regards to sealing shampoos is how they react to higher temperatures. Because these shampoos tend to not foam up much, they also tend to dry quicker when it‘s warm outside. When they do, some can leave behind severe streaking and some are much more forgiving in that aspect. That may be an additional test you could to in the future. 3) Try Sonax Ceramic Active Shampoo next, it may surprise you. 😉

I think you're absolutely right in your observations there, especially that they are sponge applied sealants, rather than detergents to clean the car. Because of that though, I think the spray and rinse ones are far easier to use. I have actually done my car (rather than my van) with the Hygan sponge and the GT Shine. What I noticed was that my sponge was absolutely filthy at the end, and it wouldn't rinse out at all. It reminded me of using Wolfgangs Rinseless. It's a funny one isn't it, because I think product area made a lot of sense when it was a wash and wax, but now we've got spray and rinse...these are largely pointless. Especially when, as you've said, they're best when you have washed the car already. The aspect regarding heat and drying out is an interesting one - I didn't have that issue here, but maybe if you had a dark car you'd have been in trouble. It's actually because I have silver van that I didn't mind doing it partially in the sun. I'd never had attempted it on a dark one.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment Steve! I''m dying to get out and clean the car but every time I get a spare minute (which isn't many) it seems to be raining. So the winter prep hasn't happened this year annnnnd that means it\s going to be spray sealants all winter I reckon.

Nice one, Adrian.... finally.... products that won't go on the list 😂. I'm with you, a decent shampoo and some kind of spray and rinse is a better and, I'd guess, cheaper. I used the Autoglym Polar Series the other day and that was nice to use, easy to use and gave good hydrophobics. I'll never get to worry aboutlongevity because I'll always top up before the protection is dead anyway. All the best. Oh, no issue with the length of video.

Completely agree with your conclusions, Adrian, and with the rest of the comments. I prefer to use a decent shampoo (BH Auto Wash at the moment) followed by drying aid (10% GT Sigma). Recently I've been finishing with GTechniq's ceramic sealant. Quick and works well 👍

I feel like anyone who's more serious shares this opinion. Interestingly , because I use Auto Wash a lot too, I've anecdotally found that the spray and rinse products don't do as well after Auto Wash, and I think that's because it leaves a bit of residue behind. BUT I don't think it's that dramatic of an impact.

@@SuperchargedLlama Yep, Auto Wash definitely adds some gloss, I thinks it's excellent (I use GT Decon Shampoo if I need something with a bit more oomph).

@@SuperchargedLlama Hi mate, it’s the Hybrid solutions,, ceramic wash and wax, one cap full per litre. Do your normal pre wash first, 👍 don’t worry if it dries a little bit, just rinse off and dry.

Good to see these being tested, a shame there's never any real suds with them. Didn't realise how expensive they worked out at until your video. Think I'd just prefer a QD at the end or like you say a spray and seal style product.

I am with you there 💯 - I never used a QD as a drying aid until I got into the Rinseless Wash stuff...and now I know where I've been missing out!

Fabulous video ... real everyday use and testing of products makes you rethink what you are using. Maybe a comparison on exterior trim protection and colour fastness 😊

I'd absolutely agree with your current wash process. I do need to try Touch-On actually, I'll wait until I get towards the end of my Synergy Boost and Protector Wax so I can do a comparison. Might take a year!

As above, I'll be using BH touch on and AF lavish now the cold is here. I put 2 sachets of touch on in to a 5ltr of di-water as a spray n rinse on wheels, cheap as chips and beeds up a treat 🤣

Great video. I was really interested in this as personally not sure I understand why brands have released these type of products. I think you confirmed my hesitation in these products. They’re not exactly cost effective or offer much protection. At least it’s a review that I now don’t want to go and buy 😁

I have to say, if I'd not been given the GT shine one to review, and the Infinity Wax one to test I wouldn't have had done the test at all, because they aren't really my bag.

Fantastic test, thank you :) I'm not a fan of Bath + , personally I think gyeon should improve this shampoo. Ps. I prefer longer videos :)

Thanks as always dude! I agree, I think there's a need to iterate the product now that the competition has really caught up with them. Bathe+ Evo? What I find staggering is that there's no economies of scale when buying the bigger quantity.

Your final conclusion would be mine. Stick to a pure shampoo and a spray on rinse off product. I have tried the car chem ceramic suds. All I noticed was the pop of my dessert awesome blue paintwork vanished and looked like it had instantly weathered by about 15 years. Not happy. Thanks for your time and effort

Thanks for commenting and thanks for sharing your experience with another option as well, it's good to build up this picture of how these products work, and different brands offerings stack up against each other. The one thing you wouldn't have expected to see is a reduction of gloss from the product!

I noticed when comparing Synergy Boost to Bathe+ on an already partially protected car, it seemed like the Synergy Boost just ran off, whereas the soap in the Bathe+ let it wet the entire panel. Now, I actually did not compare them side-by-side so it may be that it still works better. There's usually no point to spray a protected car but I was just trying to top it up. I suspect any water-borne product will have some challenges being applied to a hydrophobic panel.

I reckon you could well be right there - I wonder how the spray and rinse products like Wet Coat would fair? You can use Synergy Boost and Protector Wax as a spray and rinse too, I wonder if in that configuration, where they haven't been aerated, would impact that ability to bond over something that's hydrophobic.

@@SuperchargedLlama It's a good question. It seems like Wet Coat etc. wet the panel ok through a normal spray trigger, but it could just be an optical illusion because the droplets are much smaller.

Personally, i've never found a positive benefit with the ones i've used in the past as they all seem to lack suds and aren't really satisfying to use.

Yup I agree with you there. The old school wash n wax products were generally very slick and foamy! I would say that the GT shine one was pretty slick, probably not much of a surprise! But it's definitely not slick on the normal sense.

Thanks for taking the time to watch it and then add such a useful comment too, I really appreciate that and find it is really motivating too, which you may not have realised. Great insight into Bathe+ as a more consistent user, especially from another Auto Wash user too, because that's the reference point for a lot of shampoos' for me. I can absolutely see how Bathe+ would perform better at a similar dilution to Wax On, what also staggers me is that there's no economies of scale for the 4L option, it's the same price, just for a bigger bottle. Where as the Infinity Wax at £36 trade is...well it's almost a steal! If you're on the market to try something else after the Bathe+ has run out I would give it a punt. But, and you're point is absolutely spot on here, you can't rely on these to be the "protection".

@SuperchargedLlama I have a bottle and a half of Bathe+ to get through, I don't use it all the time just if I'm running short or a bit of protection needs putting down when there is none, 2 birds 1 stone kinda thing. I do love BH AW, I just haven't bought a new bottle as I've plenty of shampoos. One wax shampoo I absolutely love is, believe it or not Chemical Guys Glossworx shampoo.

@@jt-2286 how are you finding Simplewax Suds btw? That was recommended to me as a free rinsing shampoo that leaves no masking residue (my only complaint of Autowash)
