    I own it, it’s worth it. It brought my tube amp back to life. So many options internally, and externally. It does everything an OX does but it’s like 1/6s of the cost. Im running a line in, into my rock crusher and DI out into my interface so I can use headphones. It gives almost no excuse to purchase anything else once you get this! lol Sounds amazing.

    I have an original Torpedo C.A.B. which I really like. I'd have a few questions about the opus pedal: - Could you please point out the key changes from the previous iterations of the product (Torpedo C.A.B. / C.A.B. M+) - How does backwarts compatibility to Torpedo C.A.B. work? Can I import my old presets? - I only saw MIDI In, no MIDI out. Any plans to provide MIDI out on future versions of the Opus (like there were present on the Torpedo C.A.B)? - the Torpedo C.A.B.'s display had some flaws where the text was not readable when the letters were moving on the screen. Has this somehow been improved? - while the Torpedo C.A.B. had the option to also control e.g. EQ parameters via a MIDI expression pedal, it practically wasn't usable due to an audible rattling noise from the speakers when changing such parameters while playing. has this somehow been improved on the Opus? - How does the long term support look on the Opus? For how long are software/firmware updates guaranteed? Thanks

  • @compucat
    @compucat8 ай бұрын

    Neat product! A few questions: - The CAB M hardware suffered from poor PSU decoupling; noise from both the external PSU and the onboard OLED driver would couple into the audio output. How has the power topology been reworked for Opus? - Similarly, the CAB M's aux input raises the output noise floor by a nontrivial amount unless it is manually muted. Has the aux input noise performance been improved in Opus? - Do you plan to backport features at all to the CAB M hardware, or will there be no further updates? The first point in particular is my major gripe with CAB M; it's such a lovely tool otherwise.

  • @RossDaviesTwoNotes

    @RossDaviesTwoNotes

    8 ай бұрын

    Thanks for getting in touch - Ross from Two notes here. The entire input architecture has been reworked with OPUS as we now have high gains amps which inherently raise / amplify the noise floor - as such, noise within the unit has been significantly improved. Although both units share a similar chassis, on the inside it is a very different story. In order to accomodate the higher gain preamps included in OPUS, an extensive overhaul of the existing C.A.B. M+ architecture was required. As such, we cant offer an update for the C.A.B. M+. Please bear in mind, we are committed to supporting our legacy products and will continue to release all necessary updates to ensure longevity of C.A.B. M+ - not to mention on-going DynIR releases so you have a cascade of fresh tones to play with! Let us know if you have any other questions concerning OPUS and we will gladly weigh in!

    Granted, it’s nice to have amps, but you don’t leave the user with the option to break in after the amps and put wet effects. I figure the reason to replace my cab m+ is MIDI. MIDI is something I’ve wanted but over time of owning the cab m plus, I craved it less and less. I only use my cab m plus on my amp coming out of my torpedo attenuator. Using the amp eventually moved the cab m plus off my board and onto a shelf on top of my amp….full time there….only used for cab sim for gigs where I can send to house. I like this opus for MIDI….don’t know if it’s worth the upgrade (I’ll probably buy though)

    Hi, I just got the Opus and gigged it for the first time yesterday. It sounded pretty (actually quite unbelievably) amazing for a first try, sending the signal straight to the PA. Now I'm a bit of a noob in this realm, so here's my question: I would like to be able to use a simple midi controller to bank up and down my presets, to use it sort of as a channel switcher. I thought I would simply get a small, two button 'pedal' (left button to bank up, right button to bank down). Which midi-controller would you recommend I should use for that purpose? Thanks in advance.

    @@pietrostimoli Thanks for getting back to us. It's actually very widely used in a lot of devices on the market today. We would suggest trying OPUS for yourself to hear what we have got out of this. If you have any questions, please let us know!

    Can you run your guitar into it, and run it straight to a cabinet

    Great question! Ross from Two notes here. No, you would need a power amp post OPUS in order to power a guitar cabinet! Let us know if you need any more info!

    Thanks for getting in touch. You are indeed correct. In terms of the FX loop, we actually feel that your spacial FX are better placed after your cabinet emulation - much like would be actioned in a pro studio recording session. In terms of the Stereo output, providing your Spacial FX placed after OPUS are Stereo, you will be able to send a Stereo signal to FOH, Mixer or interface. Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Sounds great, just listening to your voice. Instead of hearing more of the hardware software. Lol 😆 🤣 😂 So I skipped your video and just went to Pete Thorn, lol. Thanks anyway 😊

    A couple of questions about the pedal : 1) which is the point of adding preamp sims if there's no way to select them with an on board foot switch or even better with a compile I switches. There's an empty space on the lower part of the pedal. 2) I've seen there is a midi in port. I assume that's made to change presets, right? 3) Is the presets change gapless? Thank you.

    Thanks for getting in touch. There simply isn't the room in the pedal to accomodate a switch but we do have MIDI integration that can be used for preset switching. The switching is very fast and you will not notice any latency in this respect. Let us know if you have any other questions.
