Options Settings in Tekla Structures
Ғылым және технология
In this video we take a quick look at some of the most common settings you may want to make when starting a project. Watch to see a review of several options including:
-Standard bolt diameter and grade when components are set to "Default"
-Dual-Dimensioning in Imperial and Metric - often needed for government contracts in the US
-Standard units - commonly used for more accurate gauge material modeling

Very nice overview. And great reminder that this dialog exists! I normally get so wrapped up in the Advanced Options, I forget that several things can be taken care of in the "standard" options dialog. Thanks for these videos as they are always helpful!
Thank very much for this video.
Hello sir I am Santanu sasmal from Kolkata, india. how to get the weld valume at bill of materials list.please help
Hello, is it possible to get user-parameter from inside a component into a template? With other words, I need to show in a specification some values of a custom component. This custom component is a seem-type component that builds up complete truss assembly, this truss assembly must be shown in a trusses specification, and in that specification I need to show some user-defined values that I put via component window.

Please reach out to your local Tekla helpdesk support team: www.tekla.com/contact/offices-and-resellers.

Part orientation is South and West by default, but you can change that under the File > Settings > Options menu, you can see around the 4:45 mark. Model views created by the grid are not affected by this, as far as I know and always look North and West, in my experience.
My bolt size are always in default, and the bolts are circular instead of flange or hex bolt. please how can do

Hello, it would be best to contact your local support for assistance: www.tekla.com/contact/offices-and-resellers Bolts need to be defined in both the bolt catalog (all bolts, nuts, and washers) and bolt assembly catalog (which bolts, nuts and washers go together with each other), usually included in your downloaded environment. Then, in the options you can select which size and diameter should be the default. If the catalogs are not defined correctly, you can have failed bolts or strange looking ones.
Would be better if the spokesman speak slower.
