This is hilarious, this is about limitlessness and achieving things that were not possible. Then the guys like that's not possible to live in the flow state which is (BS). I personally could not due to my training and 99.9% of people cannot. There are Buddhist monks and Yogi's that stay and live in a flow state. It's awesome when science tells you you can't do something but in reality you can. In the 1920's everyone drove model T fords and it was impossible to go to the Moon, but 49 years later we did. Don't let science hold you back from achievement. They also thought the guy who invented radio transmissions was schizophrenic. Apparently when you can tell people that you can send your voice through the air they call you crazy. I learned flow in 1996 from middle school sports in Jackson Hole Wyoming. The only two I ever heard of was in the flow or in the zone. I had no idea that those others were referring to the same thing. I guess that's why I never looked into them. Its funny scientists are horrible marketing people, I guess they just prefer to be smart in their peer class. Can't blame them its human nature. The greatest book for personal improvement is Napoleon Hill think and grow rich and keys to success the 17 principles of personal achievement Jim please get better people on your show. I haven't seen someone this arrogant on your show in awhile. All this person would have to do is go to Tibet. you've had so many people on your show that talk about meditation and meditation is nothing but flow state. Either way calling people crazy is not a way to make friends

@@wehaventmet3680 indeed I work with the top 3% of corporate earners and producers in the world. I've been luckily enough to be around all types of people that remain in the flow state. Santa Barbara Ca has offered me opportunity and the privilege to meet a few people who have achieved more on this planet then the bottom 80% Do you know how they did it through the POWER OF THEIR MIND. They had ideas that were thought impossible. They picked a direct purpose outline the steps to get to that direct purpose, gave themselves a timeline. Focused all mental aspects on that purpose (thus putting them in a flow state). if you've ever been around Elon Musk you would think he was suffering from mania lol. Yeah he's richer than Warren Buffett

@@jdee2095 I think a key takeaway from all this is the guy has put a definition to the word "flow". He defined it at the start - he claimed that scientists may say that it's impossible to live in the "flow" state AS PER THEIR definition of "flow". The ACTUAL act of "living in the flow" however, by its layman and loose definition can be achievable. Why not? Science doesn't tell you you can't do something. Ever. The *People* say that but not Science. Just like in any area of life you'll have your bad apples, in the world of science we have ours too, but you have to try to refrain from generalizing. Yes, there are some "scientists" (and I say that loosely because to be accepted as one is not as easy as donning a white coat), that use science as a tool to perpetuate their own ego. That does not mean that science exists to tell you what you can or cannot do. We state that gravity exists and how it works/acts on us. We don't tell you you can or cannot jump or fly. Real science, and real scientists (or those holding the mentality of a true scientist) are the kinds of people that push the frontiers of human life and human understanding. They dedicate their lives on obtaining as much proof as they can so that they can share it with everyone. They don't disbelieve in things or prove things wrong. They just work to prove if things are or things aren't. I say that coming from a scientific background and having many peers in the scientific community. There are many things we do not understand and we work tirelessly to prove them - sometimes we can't and yet we still see results; we are not so arrogant as to dismiss such observations when it's clear as day in our eyes. Want an example? We cannot prove how or why Acupuncture works. According to the explanations of how and why it works we still cannot create measurements and quantify how or why it works. But we can see and acknowledge that it does. Does that mean we dismiss it? No. We have those who are dedicated to that field of research to find out how and why it works and until we COMPLETELY understand it we will NEVER take sides. We aim to discover the truth. That's it. A real scientist will and never "persuade" another person. They don't need to nor care to (refer to gravity example above). They just strive to find the facts and state them. If ever you're in an "argument" with a scientist it's probably less about persuasion but probably more about you bringing up a false claim and thus they retort with a truth. But they would never aim to "persuade" something is true or false. If they do endeavour to persuade, (beyond the scopes of factual findings and anecdotes), then they've fallen victim to human bias and loss their sense of scientific reasoning.
