I actually don't think that quote is true. There are plenty of high achieving black people or other people of color that are still looked down upon just because of the color of their skin. If someone doesn't want to like you, they won't no matter what you do. The onus isn't on the victim of racism to hustle to prove that they are good enough to the racist. To me, racism is like a delusion. If someone tells me that they believe that they are Jesus, I wouldn't start playing along confessing my sins to them and asking them to turn water into wine. I would recognize that they are delusional and move on. The same way when someone is being racist, it makes no sense for me to hustle to try to prove my worth when their thought process is off base, inaccurate and ridiculous in the first place. Playing into it only means that a part of you believes that they're right. If I'm being excellent, I'm doing it for myself, not to gain the approval and acceptance of someone who was low enough to judge me by the color of my skin in the first place.

You will never reach your goals by depending on someone else. She says to be patient and work hard and you will get what you toiled for. "Excellency is the best deterrent to... Nope that would go to Phil Donahue show. I liked her show but not as much as Donahue. I live in chicagoland been to both shows

She's closer to her God force than most of us. Look at all the blessings she's been given!! I'm a white man who happens to like and admire her. She's an incredible positive force.

As a white man who has def benefited from white privilege (willingly and unwillingly, knowingly and unknowingly) Oprah is one of my heros. Her show started the year I was born in '86 and and when I was a kid my mom watched it every weekday at 4 on KGO channel 7. I still remember so many episodes and they all had a profound impact on me.

She is DIVINE!!!!!! #Sigh

11/6/2022 I am a 90s baby. I'm not sure why my guardian's didn't watch the Oprah show. Come to think of it, it's probably because we didn't have cable. But I was introduced to her through the film the color purple. And her performance hasn't left from my memory bank. As she grew into a power house. Her name popularized within the community. She became one of the most glorified black women. It wasn't until this summer, when my journey to self discovery began that I became interested in her. The universe placed her in front of me to observe and listen to. Now I am studying her. Because I believe that she is a great person of influence to study if you desire to live a meaningful, self Fullfilled life of Success. *#GoOprah*

Such an inspiration. Always be one. We are all human, with limitations of all kinds. No one is completely perfect. But, Oprah Winfrey by far, thanks to the fabulous platform she was able to create, is one of the most powerful teachers in this dimension after Jesus, Ghandi, MLK, Mother Theresa & the likes. She taught an entire generation to soul search, to look within for divine guidance, fortitude & so much more. I am forever grateful that she was born black, physically unattractive " according to societal rules" for so many many, many extremely important reasons. Such as, had she been attractive, mixed colored, white, or even Asian, her message would not have reached the global impact it has. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you Source for giving us Oprah. I bless & give thanks to her entire blood line for giving us Oprah. I bless Mr Duncan & every other teacher for being that spark which helped Oprah remain stead fast on the path of light for the benefit of all. So many of us get lost along along the way

There's no such thing as different races. There is only one race- the human race. Race as 'black', 'white', 'yellow', etc. is just made up by people who presume that we are all in one race or another or of mixed race but, we are all unique and we all have melanin in our skin unless we are albino. We tan, I have freckles which is melanin/sun protection. We can marry and have children no matter what our melanin in our skin/ hair. We all go grey/ most.

Lene Ring When most black people gain weight, their skin darkens. As they lose weight it lightens. This doesn’t happen to many, sometimes the skin gets a patchy look.
