Lyrics
Found you there in the blink of an eye
(I) miss you
Turned away into a thousand dreams
Found out what they mean
Lost you there in a moment of truth
(I) trust you
Gave away the one and only heart
(A) gift to tear apart
Stain me, save me
Take me to my home
Hold me, show me
Take me to my home
Weaker now, drawing fluid from me
(You) kill me
I'm not afraid of what you have just done
(But of) what you've just become

Very interesting. The whole Damnation album makes me have a feeling of cold a foggy November-December. This really grey, black-white color which you can see in the front cover. Except THIS song. This song makes me feel a hot July night, a dark night where such a slightly warm, southern wind blows with a clear starry sky, when you can spread your hands out in the air and take a jump in the hot black wind without caring where you fall. I guess it's the Hammond organ. And it's also has a stong flavour of socialist utopism. Not the one which is popularized in the west, but that was mainstream in the Eastern Block in the 70's-80's. It is exactly like back then. I can literally see those social realist steet lights waving on the surface of the water just like the hammond organ notes are waving in the sound space. It gives back that vibe EXACTLY. I don't know if this was on purpose, but I guess not.
