Opeth - To Bid You Farewell (Full Guitar & Vocal Cover)
Guitar & Vocal cover for Opeth's song "To Bid You Farewell" from their albums "Morningrise" & "The Candlelight Years".
After spending a lot of hours, I finally manage to fully cover the guitars in this song.
Honestly, I'll say this has been by far the hardest song I've ever cover & recorded so far.
The fact there's not a lot of complete tabs, guitar covers or any info regarding the guitar playing in this song made everything harder for me.
I had to try & listen a lot this song to try and figure out what were the most accurate notes & chords for this song (specially in the dual distorted guitars part) & I'm still 100% sure I'm not 100% right.
The fact that this song has so many arrangements, harmonies & dual playing made it a real challenge to learn & perform, but I'm super happy with the final result.
I know the video editing is not the best, and I could improve more, but I'm still in the learning path.

Appreciate it bro. Always despised any kind of hatred or intolerance of any form & found that shirt from an amazing brand that I like (Blackcraft cult) that any purchase would give the same amount donated for the George Floyd foundation. Glad you like the cover man, hopefully some other covers will be of your liking as well

Glad to hear it’s helping your work man. Would love to see this piece arranged for one guitar but beware, in deed it was so far the most complicated song to record that I’ve covered. Glad it help, cause that’s precisely what I wanted to achieve with this video,since I couldn’t find a lot of info about the notes in this song, so I had to figure a couple myself by ear. @@Banditmex Finally planning on recording some takes this weekend. Luckily I found a good acoustic sim for my Kemper so I don't have to distort my acoustic. The third riff and the third to last were definitely the hardest to play both parts at the same time but I was able to use "jazzy" chords that had both notes I needed to make it sound right. I'll let you know when the videos up!

Awesome sense of rhythm. Well done! High-level all around, although your vocals could be louder for my liking. That would be around only issue! Also, I love beefy sound of your electrical guitar. I wish I was that good.

Thanks for such kind words & recommendations. I can share the config I’ve got on garage band for my guitar to sound like that. Not going to lie, probably has been the hardest song that I’ve ever learnt & recorded since it has so many arrangements, melody & details. But with patience & practice everything’s possible.
