this song gives me some serious chills down my spine !!!
So good, perfect mix between Dream Theater and folk-death metal. Metal bands from scandinavian countries have found their master !
Not gonna lie, 7:46 made me jump the first time listening to this beast lel
December 2018, bare cold night, alone with wine and a cigarette, still this song my fav masterpiece ❤️❤️❤️
Opeth is incredible ugh they've been my favorite band for about 15 years now and I've seen them live around 20 times can't wait to make it 21!!!!
I like this song (the beginning) for double bass training
It's a good thing that their music is better than their band photos. Jesus Christ.

This bands has fans from All kinds of genres. There versitlite song writing has Metal, Prog Rock and musician's from All around jamming Opeth. I love the heavy stuff but enjoy all of it. I hope they do a heavy album again. Like everything they do love Sorceress but another heavy one would be perfect. They are so well rounded.
His growls are second to none
I've listened to Opeth since I was in 7th grade, and I STILL can't help but marvel at the sheer quality of these lyrics. Mikael has transcended here. He is no longer just a singer/songwriter. He has become a poet of the other world, the abyssal darkness. Unbelievable! 🖤
ok i'm crying this is beautiful
That riff at 9:10 onwards with the drums is absolutely fucking amazing
Compelling and strong. Probably one of Opeth's darkest songs.
Bonsoir, je vous remercie pour le partage..... J'adore..... Je vous souhaite une agréable soirée...
Those harmonies!!!!! Daaaamn!
For those of us wanting to growl along at home the lyrics need to come up before the vocal starts. Death Metal karaoke is what I'm after :-)

I mean, I've memorized most of Metallica's songs. So I guess a dedicated fan could easily remember the words to the songs he's heard hundreds of times.
the intro riff is one of my fav riffs to play and repeat for hours on my guitar haha
This is definitely the best one i have ever seen from them so far \m/
It's so fucking beautifull..
Back before they turned into a dream theatre tribute act.

There is a voice calling for me There is a light coming down on me There is a doubt that is clearing There is a day that is dawning There is a wound that is healing There is a season waiting for me There is a road that is turning There is a fire still burning A sickness in me Constant pace towards the end The need is stronger This time the need is deeper There is a peace I am searching There is a freedom I'm depending on There is a pain that's never ending There is a rain falling only on me There is a dream I am living There is a life I am dreaming of There is a death I'm awaiting There is a home I am deserting I hold my breath and wait Only moments remain Movement for departed hope Effect for absent friend Sever the faith from my body Leave me begging for more Take what I have and deliver me Into everlasting sleep Soothing trance Colours fade And disappear Ethereal light Showing me what I can do without In a motionless scenes There is only me I take what I can Controlling you to get ahead Fading away And leaving Long for sleep Closer now Lead the way into death Every wretched dream I have left behind Every waking hour I lie in wait Sucked inside by will Gone into the flood All my questions unfurled As I was put to the test Once I'm below there's no turning back Every wretched dream I have left behind Every waking hour I lie in wait Plunging into the deepest void Departed shell left drained behind Pacing roads unknown Searching for a new home Desert in my eye Barren lands inside

You should make words appearing out on screen just a few moments before you can hear it, to let it sing good.
