I've been listening to metal for over 35 years. I never got into Opeth. I heard of them before but never listened to them before until I discovered them on youtube. If someone plays a Opeth song to me I never listend to before, I know it's them. They got their own unique sound.

@ruinsane100
3 жыл бұрын
Heir Apparent has the nastiest, filthiest, evilest, most dissonant riffs of all time, IMO. And Mikael's vocals could make Satan himself put his tail between his legs and pee himself. It's in my top 3 fav Opeth songs and that's saying a lot bc they have been my favorite band for a very long time.
Opeth - Godhead’s Lament, you really can’t go wrong with this band though
Early Opeth (pre heritage album) is the absolute perfect mix of brutality and beauty.
My friends, your reactions really make me happy and hyper AF haha. I just can tell from your videos that you are truly amazing people. Thank you! You need to hear A fair Judgement, The Lotus Eater, The Grand Conjuration, Heir Apparent, Harvest. All from Opeth. And also you need to dive into Mastodon. They are a trip. The Last Baron, The Czar, Jaguar god.
The fact that funeral portrait only got 9% is pretty fucking heartbreaking 😞

Love the way they transition from the 2nd to 3rd movement in this song, they lull you into a false sense of security and then slap the shit out of you.
Opeth - Burden ;)
Kevin's clapping like a seal at random parts, their reaction to _that_ transition and the genuine disappointment in his eyes when he realized the song was fading out, all amazing. Love your reactions Wanted to say that first as 95% of the comments on these kind of vids are just requests. On that note I'm gonna second some other guys before me and say Serenity Painted Death!
Greetings from france ! I love every kind of music, but with years and decades, I recon my heart belong to Progressive Metal and Opeth owns the crown even if the contenders are as massive as the one you got on your shirts ! I never watch react video, but this one gave me heat on one of my favourite song, I could give so many things to have the feeling of discovering this band once again. Greetings
So much fun watching you reacting to this masterpiece !..

Awesome reaction man. This one of my top Opeth tracks! Glad you guys enjoyed! 🤘 next you guys need to do Heir Apperent. Its Opeth at their peak and one of their heavier tracks . Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦 🤘🤘

Pink Floyd - ECHOES( live Pompeii)
On the poll, I was looking for this choice: “YES.” All great choices.
I love how you're both speaking at the same time at the end like kids who saw a balloon for the first time XD
The Drapery Falls !!!!!!
That was some older Opeth. O(LD)PETH!🤣 Seriously. Happy you guys enjoy Swedens finest! There is a lot of good music from this small nation. Beware!👍
It's hilarious watching a young James Hetfield and his girlfriend reacting to Opeth 😂
Greetings from England, you guys are so much fun to watch and I look forward to more reactions. I hope you do all of Opeth's catalog as they will continue to amaze you!
The Drapery falls
My god these drums! Yeah, damn now imagine this live and even better than the studio version! Incredible. This is my favourite track from Deliverance, nay my favourite Opeth song...which is a conundrum into and of itself. In Mikael Åkerfeldt's own words: This is the heaviest track on Deliverance. In fact, if there ever were any undertones of black metal. then it is on this composition (opus). You are still only scratching the surface of some of music's most incredible works. If you want to change it up a bit and experience where the true progressive Swedish Death Metal began then listen to: "In the mist she was standing", which is track 1 on Opeth's first iconic breakthrough album "Orchid", which was released in 1995. I'm actually listening to it as we speak \m/ You will thank me later. You guys fkn rock.
Without context for spoiler purposes you should really put up a vote for Windowpane, Harvest, To Bid you Farewell, Death Whispered a Lullaby, Hope Leaves, Porcelain Heart.
You guys need to react to Demon of the Fall As my usual recommendation: White Cluster.
My favorite transition ever. I swear it’s even more amazing live
Stephen Wilson produced this Opeth album (Deliverance). You guys need to check him out.
Legit that part at 7:58 scared the shit outta me when I heard it for the first time.
