Operation: Recall figure sculpt kickoff

The first six figures are ready to sculpt!
In previous videos we’ve showed the articulated armatures that we’ll be sculpting on (AKA “bucks”).
This video shows the guidance that we are giving to the figure sculptor, Bill Merklein. Just like back in the 80s and 90s, he’ll have character line art and a 1:1 scale figure sculpture sheet (360 turnaround). As a bonus I’ve added some photo references. He should have everything he’ll need to bring Ron Rudat and Mark Pennington’s designs to life!

Carson.. i guess I will be buying more operation recall figures from you. because hasbro sucks and only care about classified junk lol. thank god u are around to give us what we really want.
That is a cool design with your O-ring but keep in mind most 3 3/4 collectors love to change around parts so your still going to need the screw in the back, but WOW that is an awesome idea with the O-ring but one important thing is the metal joint part is longer and shorter in some figures so you will need a few different O rings with spacing for the joint, so some have to be shorter or longer, you know what I mean cause that metal leg joint is a bit different in some of the figures

So now comes an obvious question - How long do You think it will take for Bill to sculpt each figure? :) Is the process actually faster these days than it was in the 80s, or kinda same? Obiously communication is quicker, tho i guess You won't put as much pressure on Mr Merklein as Hasbro would do back in the day and he won't have to hurry things up ;)

Retelo took two full weeks, but he was admittedly rusty. We’ll see how these go! I definitely will not rush any of these guys. I’d rather be “late” and have them do their best work and have a good experience, than to force some artificially imposed deadline. Know what I mean?
