As someone who owns this device and has used it on both Android and iOS platforms, I can say that the device and software perform far faster and is far more stable on Android.

I have just purchased the Mucar BT200 and it's just incredible what it can do for the price. It is simply better than lots of +200€ and +300€ devices, with the all system diagnostic and the full maintenance options. The app is the same for the BT200 as for the high level Thinkcar so it just works perfect all the time. Seriously: The device, and the app. All in all, 10 out of 10.

I'm impressed, hope it saves you a bundle

A really handy tool that everyone buying (or selling) a car should have. The £50 spent on this could save you from buying a car needing major work in the hundreds or thousands of pounds in the future. Also, you should do more unboxing videos. I know you’re very busy, but I’d love to see you do an unboxing of a new iPhone, for example :D

Is it really a lifetime full system diagnostic scanner? Or good for a year subscription only?

i think you can just keep updating the "paid for" software yearly, but for the price of it It wouldn't be the end of the world if you bought a new one evry year

I would think so, but before you buy one i would check the wires under the seat, and in the seat belt buckle, thats where the fault usually lies, sometimes just moving the wires where they are zip tied to the seat frame cures the problem

@@BarrieCrampton Hi Barrie, I moved the wires under the seats, but the problem still persisted so I bought the bt200 and ran a check, gave me code B1049 which is apparently the clock spring. Without the bt200 it would have all been guesswork, really good bit of kit! Cheers 👍

Hi Barry, thanks for the very interesting presentation. I've just bought this device. It's already activated and the software is downloaded and installed. Unfortunately I faced the problem. I've plugged it in the green light is on. I've chosen the full system diagnosis, the green light has changed to blue. After waiting few minutes I've got as the result an information: VCI informations not accessible. Error: - 2 I'd really appreciate your help, support or any suggestions to find the solution of this problem. Kind regards Mark

was that with just the ignition on? if so i would hard reset your phone, make sure that your phone operating system is up to date, then try again, if it still doesnt work try it with the car running, removing the dongle each time 9also make sure the doors are shut

@@BarrieCrampton - Thank you for your response. The ignition was definitely on. My phone is the latest version of Sony Xperia 1 III for approx. £1200 - a really good stuff. I have tried with the ignition on, then when idling and after that with the car running in normal traffic. All results the same. I've written the note to the supplier or manufacturer. The contract is available using the device software. Today I will try again anyway. I really appreciate your attempts to help me. Of course I will let you know about the results. Kind regards Mark

I'm really happy with it, as well as with the little cute carrying box. I didn't expect the device can do so much giving complete report with status of all controllers installed in the vehicle. No it doresnt, it needs a wifi connection to send a full report to your printer, it just plugs in to the car

it will give generic eobd codes, or if you buy the Mercedes codes in the app i think it should cover your car and give you the mercedes trouble codes, it certainly does for range rovers, i havent bought the Merc one yet
