Gluing yourself to a freeway in order to protest climate change is a great way to both prevent emergency services from being able to reach their targets and make people resent the movement. It is however, a horribly ineffective way to practice civil disobedience.
Beautiful questions and beautiful answers. I learned a lot today. Thank you 🙏
Thank you Plum Village for this beautiful Q&A. Blessings to all 🪷🌀🪷
I also feel very fortunate to be part of this beautiful river, thank you sisters and brothers 🙏🌻

Thank you, brothers and sisters, it's very good to remember these topics. Greetings from Spain 🪷 🙏
The entire point of protest, especially civil disobedience, is to provoke discomfort (which then produces anger) so getting anxious about the anger is illogical. At that point one is dealing with ego's desire to be understood and validated. Deal with ego.
The basics never go out of fashion. Hold fast ❤
Beautiful beautiful advice 🤍🙏🤍 and thank you Leah for your heart 🤍
Human Relationships and not Human Resources - so good 💜

An open heart every day to love.❤
Thank you for your beautiful presence. I wish I could speak directly with Brother Spirit. While I understand his answer on one level, yes it is a good practice. HOWEVER. I CANNOT put my self in the shoes of the man who rapes children. While I get that to do that he is wounded but I know that if I have complete empathy for him . I would not Rape children..if in his shoes is not a solution for me...I really need to voice that. Thank you.
As an activist I find these are good questions
This was very helpful Thankyou dear thay and dear sangha
Very helpful commentary 💚☯️
Find a way to protest that doesn't cause people to suffer or get yourselves arrested...

You have to approach people with a sensitivity to their current understanding and situation. Evoking aggression by blocking traffic is not the right way. A single mother trying to get to work to feed her children is not open to your teaching in that moment.
