I love looking at your channel because my childhood was awful and didn’t include many toys. But at 52 I buy myself toys, play with them and then give them to children. The plush cat that I gave my friend’s goddaughter became her favourite. That makes me really happy. I buy many handmade toys so the individual maker, me and children all win.

McDonald's actually used to make me sick as a kid, but I was Barbie CRAZY, so apparently my grandma ate happy meals all the time to try to get me all of the Barbies. I didn't know that until literally last night when I was talking to my mom about my Barbie collection. So sweet! 😭

I'm so glad that the company decided to start selling the toys separately, for this kinda reason. Too bad the toys are trash, but I do get the Pokemon cards when they come around.

Back in the year 2000, I worked in a McDonald's in charge of the dining area, and I used to love doing the kids' birthday parties. I even used to get called in to do them on my days off. It was so much fun to entertain them and get paid for acting daft for an hour and a half. We just had to make sure that the birthday cake was taken out of the freezer room well in advance. :)

It warms my heart seeing how excited you are about getting the toys you were too shy to get when you were young. So happy you were able to get them now! This is nostalgic for me I was born in 92 and have a few of the barbie and my little pony ones thank you for bringing back childhood memories and seeing how happy you are brings me joy!! Living your best life keep living it!! ❤

Also, that's so interesting that the Bead Blast doll is Barbie in the UK because we definitely got Bead Blast Christie here in the states. She and Teen Skipper are so iconic to my childhood. 🤩

The late 90s had some of the best Barbie figurines EVER. The set from I think 1999 had amazing mini dolls based on all the most famous ones (including the OG Barbie) and I can't believe the quality of them.

Fun fact: In 🇩🇪 we didn’t have the boxes. Happy Meal was called „Wundertüte“ (wonder bag), and in the 80s and 90s we got the toys too, but everything was simply just thrown into the regular brown bag 😅

This was so nostalgic! I've rebought happy meals toys as well, tho it's been dicey how well they hold up in the bag because plastic degrades in surprisingly nasty ways 😂 but it's fun revisiting my childhood.

I was trying so hard not to go into full dissociation watching this video. I STILL have these toys in my parents loft … I STILL remember getting each and every one of them. It was like unlocking memories. My favourite were the ty teddies I remember my brother getting the monkey one.

I love seeing the old Happy Meal toys. I had a McDonalds Thumper and Bambi that were two of my favorite toys. The MLPs names are Sundance (pink), Light Heart (white), Ivy (the one with the mirror), and Sweetberry (pink). For some reason the US set only had Light Heart, Sundance, and Ivy, and Ivy was in a different pose. Have you ever seen an 80s Twinkle Eye pony? They have the same glam diamond eyes!

Early 80s baby here…I had the rollerblade Barbie and remember sparks coming from the skates. Never knew it got recalled though. I had so many Barbies that I loved. I would get to go to Toys’R’Us on my birthdays and pick out one… such fond memories. I think one of my all time favorites has to be Perfume Pretty Barbie. I loved the perfume that came with it. So retro! In high school i worked at Mc Donalds from 93-97. I totally remember those late 90s Barbies and Beanie Baby Happy Meal toys. I dont know if it was the 2nd round of Beanie Babies Happy Meal toys, but i remember it being super crazy, with huge lines of really rude people trying to get them all when i worked there. It was kinda insane. My senior year of HS i was always assigned to work the weekend birthday parties, which were actually a lot of fun to do. We used to always ask, boy toy or girl toy before handing out the meal, but if they didnt specify we would give out whatever we had the most of at the time. We never cared at all what the gender of anyone was, we were just working and trying to move the line along. lol

God I remember all of these…… I got embarrassed swapping for the ‘girls’ toys as well. Got my friends to get it for me 😂

i had one of the diva starz dolls but lost her about 20 years ago. last year i found her in our pond next to our house, the seaweed had grown into her hair so i had to rip her out. the coolest thing is that she looks almost the same as she did when i lost her, the color in her eyes were gone but everything else was intact and she could blink still! that was truly a weirdly magical experience. the mcdonalds toys really were something else back then.

Your videos are always such nostalgia! I loved all of these Happy Meal toys as a little girl, sometimes even more than the actual toys they're based off of. I remember when they had the original Littlest Pet Shop toys at McDonalds back in 1996. Those were some of my favorite Happy Meal toys ever! I would LOVE a Diva Starz video from you! I loved those dolls so much. It was so cool to have dolls that could talk to each other. I loved their clip-on clothes and the Diva Petz were so cute too. I was so obsessed with the PC video game from Diva Starz as well. Not the online game, but the actual CD-ROM game.

The nostalgia hit harder than a 90s techno beat! I was born in 1986, so the 90s were peak childhood for me. My Little Pony and Barbie were the absolute highlights in the Happy Meal, that's when trips to McDonald's were a must. I had the reverse issue when Batman toys were in the Happy Meal and I had to beg for the boy version. It was always worth it, though!

Wow, I have several of the first batch of Barbie figures. I have the giraffe (and stole my brother's penguin). And I have the jean jacket Barbie, green jumper Barbie, and highchair Kelly. Some of them I got in happy meals, but I got some at a thrift store or hand-me-downs from family friends. And I have so many others not in this video. I still have them all, and my daughter will get to play with them. Maybe I can make her home happy meals with them.

I had the black version of the late-1990s Bead Barbie happy meal toy (though the beads had been lost)- but I'm from the USA, grew up in the 2000s, and never knew she had been from a happy meal (I assume my parents thrifted her at some point but idk. we didnt eat at McDonald's). She, along with a blonde barbie happy meal toy of a similar kind but wearing a ballgown, were known to me only as "The Fairy Ladies" due to their small size, waifish figures, and tendency to show up in random places around the house. Weird to finally know what the Fairy Ladies were.

I mind the TY Bennie baby ones, we 90 kids even got play dough in McDonalds happy meals, I used to have the monkey in the bigger size and McDonald’s one 2, and had a crab from McDonald’s and husky.

When I was a kid (boy) I always got both the toys... I was just as interested in getting the Hot Wheels as I was the Barbies. Ended up with a lot of playtimes like "Barbie's raceway" and "Barbie's car lot" :P Even now in my mid-30's I still collect Hot Wheels and Barbies, granted it's more for displaying now but I always loved both and saw no reason why toys had to be gendered like that.

Fun little fact Diva Stars have the same voice actress as the original Draculaura Debi Derryberry. The Betty Spaghetti dolls bring back so much nostalgia. I used to have the one with the pink hair it was the closest I could get to having one my mum didn't want me to have them for some reason. People tried to make fun of me for having the McDonald's one but I loved her I thought she was so cute I remember being so excited to take her to school to show people that I had a Betty Spaghetti.

I had the first Barbie you picked up and I also had the wedding Barbie. I had the flamingo Teeny Beanie Baby, but, I lost her 😢. I had Ocean and Friends Barbie but not from McDonalds and I had Dance Moves Barbie from McDonalds. I also had Bead Blast Christie from McDonalds. I too had Eat N Fun Kelly, again, not from McDonalds. I wanted Betty Spaghetti but never got her. I had a Nikki Diva Starz doll, I got her in 2001 at my birthday party ( a month before 9/11 happened).
