This is very exciting! I would love to visit your restaurant! That is so affordable to start! I wonder if my boyfriend would be interested in doing that; as I mentioned on another video, he was a cook as his profession, and currently he sells his BBQ pork on weekends, which is PHENOMENAL. I asked him why he does not make things like pork sausage, etc, and it is because he has a job during the week, so what he does now is the best for the spare time he has. He really does not have time for anything else, but what if he did something he loves as a full time job? It is something to consider. You are a huge inspiration; thank you!

'Ola Norberis!! Congrats on the new restaurant.. and you are speaking to my soul with the simple set up..less is more! That is a very busy street, you will definitely sell out of food often. And as for those prices, you found a great deal. One thing i cannot deny is the strength of the US dollar in the Caribbean..if you find a way to make passive income in US dollars while living and having a business in the Caribbean..you will live very well.

Yes, you can start a business with very little money compared to the States. And you dont need all the permits and inspections. In regards to earning the US dollar and spending it in the Caribbean that is an ideal life. And yes you will live very well.

@@NorberisR the permits and inspections are such a hassle and sadly, some businesses end because of them. Passive income in US dollars is my dream but with life being so stressful here, i wouldnt be surprised if i go gray first 👵🏾

Hola Norberis, I’ve just come across your page and I’m glad I did. Congratulations on your restaurant from the looks of it - it has been a year now. I hope your journey has been an successful blessing to you and your family. Traveling this summer we will definitely stop by and enjoy some of your mom’s delicious cooking. My husband and I have been discussing relocating to Dominican Republic as well as opening some sort of food business preferably on or near the beach ( concession stand ) and I have been scratching my head on location, startup etc each time I google info I’m not receiving enough to move forward. Thank you for the support. Unfortunately, I had to close the restaurant due to my mom getting sick so it is no longer operational. Depending on the type of food you are looking to serve will determine the best place to have your food business.

@@NorberisR Yes, these are just contemplations for now. I have more than 14 years visiting and some of that time was actually living there. My first steps will be to spend my first year decided where exactly to live. Then I will examine that location to decided what type of business would be most marketable.

Thats a good strategy. Being a handyman in DR and bringing that American mentality of customer service is very needed there. Dominicans are not the best when it comes to Customer Service, get work done on time, and guarantee on their work.

Me good recommendation Is when you can buy you Own commercial location Because when there low Sale for any reason if you Don't pay $12,000 for rent Then you can run the business in family until Good sale come again . Note: 1‐ Do not give bravery to Police. Because them they will Show up every day. 2‐ you will see people every day bothering you Begging for food or money I'm talking for my own Experience. It an area its called Villa Consuelo. You mention it to any uber or taxi and they'll take you there. But you want to go with someone that knows that area.
