    How does the health insurance premium get paid for Expatrio? Does it automatically get deducted from the blocked account or am I supposed to pay it out of another bank account?

  • @stetobrain

    Actually even to get the expatrio money you have to open a normal bank account in Germany. From that normal account you will have to pay health insurance fees. There are some bank accounts which are very easy to open once you arrive here eg. N26, deutsche Bank, Sparkasse

    Thanks for your information. I'm Sidath from Colombo. I have applied for the masters in Germany and waiting for an admission. Which is the most recommended or reliable method of opening block account?

    Bro, I heard that expatrio doesn't function good if you are transferring money from Sri Lanka. For this Fintiba is better option. If you have relatives in Europe then you can ask them to transfer to Expatrio's account also.

    Hi.. some people are saying dr. Walter insurance is getting them rejections. So is it wise to get the package with expatrio blocked account plus insurance or should we just get an insurance separately?

  • @stetobrain

    @stetobrain

    Dr. Walter is a private insurance, for International students in Germany the public insurance like AOK, TK, Barmer are better from my experience. But visa rejection is not dependent on what insurance you have.

    Bothe are equally accepted, but when you submit sponsorship it should be legit, because they will ask what relationship you have with the sponsor and everything. Normally for blocked accounts , they don't ask any further details about finances.

    Yes mostly its possible to find some sorts of part-time jobs, or work with companies called as Zeitarbeit-Firma( they find and send you to work for their clients). In most cases some basic spoken German is required to work , but otherwise its not hard to find jobs in cities with universities in Germany.
