Two people who know absolutely nothing about AGI trying to make predictions about AGI. Yeah, that's productive. 🙄 In reality, OpenAI is not on a path to AGI; they don't have a current project for it. In fact, there isn't a single person who works for OpenAI who knows anything about AGI theory, so they couldn't even start such a project. AI/AGI equivalence has been disprovable since 2017 so this discussion is about 7 years out of date.

A.I is increasing in capability by 10x per year it has been for the last 12 years, if you don’t understand what A.I can actually do how can you possibly work out where it will be in 2025 ten times better or 2026 hundred times better and it’s not stopping or slowing
