This is terrifying and amazing. I love how huge Nightmare is; which I'd guess is due to completely corrupting the multiverse. You can really feel his presence and just how weak Dream is compared to him with the height, and just how injured Dream is. SOOO SAD BUT SO GOOD RIGHT IN THE FEELS!

I love how at the end it shows Nightmare sorta remembering all of the happy moments and truly forgetting them, spiraling deeper into insanity

It’s insane on how GOOD you executed nightmares character. Showing how much power he has, him taking no thought in killing them, and quite literally showing how demented nightmare is. The way you did this was fabulous. I absolutely adore the animatic because it shows on how much effort and time was put to make the execution prefect.

What’s funny is that canonically, if this were to happen, 2 issues: 1: Dream would be MELTING AWAY at nightmare’s touch. 2: Nightmare is technically the size of a child Coming back to this after long time later to clarify: idgaf abt these things, this is a FKING MASTERPIECE- Maam or Sir can I eat your art 😭

Beautifully done. It gave me chills throughout. Dreamtale is definitely one of the rougher AUs tragedy-wise, especially with the potential ending options. The poor things were doomed from the start.

THIS IS INCREDIBLE WHAT?? Finally a mature animation for the dreamtale brothers! No one really shows how cruel nightmare is

You did an amazing job portratying just how much evil Nightmare can be, and you did justice to his canon character, not thinking twice if he has an oportunity to finish off the others. The song also shone all the more, it's got a lot of potential to be something really dark and you used it perfectly in your favor. I love that you didn't restrain yourself in that matter, even I have a hard time thinking of Nightmare as someone who would actually kill Dream if he could since he was once a scared child (which you also portrayed amazingly that soft part of his past). Keep on with that amazing work, it's amazing and deserves way more likes. You've earned a new sub ;^

the thing is nigthmare and passive nightmare are two different people , the old nightmare is canon dead. he was killed by his bone shattering from all the goo and negative feelings the apple gave him. New nightmare is a new person much more evil !

@@corpse707 I'm aware and that's the thing, I always forget because it's something sad to accept, but it's the canon for this story, and every time I see something that respects the canon I love it in a totally different way (cause man, it's good to now and then appreciate a good villain who won't suddenly turn good/redeem just because of the power of friendship :p)

@@corpse707 actually new nightmare is not a complete new person in canon joku said he is and isnt passive nightmare at the same time he is more of an amalgamation of different entitys (3 different entities in total consisting of pasive the guy that killed the guardian and a voice that used to be friends with Nim the guardian of the tree but betray her either way- which honestly deserved she was an horrible mother and kind of a bitch-) so he keeps some memories feom passive and parts of his personality like his manners and ego to some extent or the fact he likes to learn and read in general though not to the same degree but it is true that the actual passive passive is death and wont come back you could see the new nightmare as a mangle of corpses that retain the escens of different people keeping a little of all of them alive in some twisted way like a zombie

Finally, a video that represents an evil, violent, cold and heartless Nightmare; As well as Dream, his biggest enemy. This is a really wonderful art, yes or yes it deserves a bigger valuation, BRAVO!

Dream tale sure is a very sad au to all that happened just because of such little problems that kept turning big, nightmare and dream both deserved better there is no debate between the two nightmare deserves better such as dream aswell, their backstory Is really emotional for me and maybe for others as well + i love how you made this

I just LOVE this animations. People keep saying that Nightmare's behavior is canonical here. I that's SO TRUE. I mean what else should we expect from the guy covered in concentrated negative emotions? He is evil itself! I keep rewatching this animation every time I see it in recommendations. Music and emotions fits right well! Thank you for this work!

I love it but It crushes my soul, not because I like any of the characters who are dead in this video but because I hate the idea of nightmare winning, he just has never fit right with me. In the video it even explains the cannon story, which I love, and I feel like he didn’t turn out in an appeasing manner which absolutely bats me around like a tennis ball. On one hand I love that this character conflicts with my interest in a villain and truly gives us a perspective of a character who will never become good for any reason, on the other hand he’s an absolute asshole without a single redeeming quality. He is malicious and cunning and I’d hate to be on his bad side, but *he doesn’t have a good side* .

I actually preffer nightmare winning- since i love the dreamtale twins and nightmare is my favorite guy but appart of that dream canonically dies in every single ending- so like in the nightmare ending at least i have one of the twins alive even though is a twisted version of different people and not really completely the og nightmare

You know, I don’t know the first thing about this AU, but I still highly appreciate the art, the pacing, the expressions-- just absolutely EVERYTHING about this! It makes the pair's dynamic and the overall story very easy to follow, even for someone who knows nothing about the narrative. Very well done, keep up the good work!! I think I even got some inspo for my own characters, hehe! ^^

This animation was so good it made me cry- Like literally I'm not even joking I'm bawling my eyes out rn bc it's so good and bc the way you represented nightmare and dream made me relate to them so much that it tore my non-existent heart in half- Holy shit it's amazing I love it wow I can't even describe how good it is in words oml help I'm sobbing it's so good AAAAAAAAAA-

I love how Nightmare just sits down and holds Dream in his lap. It shows how huge he is compared to Dream. It's also goofy because he keeps picking him up by his head and giving him a little tour around the battle sight like "These 'yo dead friends? These 'yo fallen comrades? Fuckin' loser." *throws Dream on the ground*

I love how nightmare I'd bigger than dream, and I like to think that this represents that nightmare is the bigger person and is much stronger than dream and how he can just throw dream around like he's nothing but also how it makes dream seem less powerful in that situation because well he is and how it looks like nightmare is just toying with dream and tormenting him, reminding him of all his memories and his past to make dream realize his mistakes. Very good animation 10/10
