I do what my family calls "joy screaming" where I just scream instead of laughing. I faint when I try not to scream. Also my brother laughed so hard about our little brother squeezing his toe that he violently vomited.

So voice science person here to ruin things: the glottis is a space. Justin cannot open the glottis because that’s not how that works. What Justin needs to do is find a way to stop exerting so much subglottal pressure. Essentially, he is blowing so much air through his vocal folds that they barely come together enough to make that wheezing noise.

Aww thanks! And I have a masters in Vocal Performance, which means I had to study some voice science in order to figure out how all this throat stuff works. But yes, I do like the term “wizard.” It’s far more concise 😂

Oldest of 7, I am constantly being told by younger siblings to be quieter in my laughter when we’re watching movies or just in public places. Also sometimes I go straight witch cackle, but honestly like half the time that’s just a choice

I feel personally attacked by this bit, because I also laugh like Justin, and I have fainted/almost fainted from laughing, but if someone offered me ways to change my laugh, I would take it in a heartbeat. It is so hard to laugh and sound like the last breath being wrenched out of a Five Nights at Freddy's character, then have my vision go dark around the edges as I temporarily lose the ability to breathe
