OPEN SEASON - PEAHI/JAWS DAY ONE

Спорт

So its that time of year when everything kind of changes where in the Southern Hemisphere the winters turn into Summer and in the Northern Hemisphere Summers turn into winter.
So i packed my bags and head traditionally to Nazare but suddenly a Japanese typhoon evolved and tracked across the Pacific with swell forecasted to hit Peahi/Jaws on Maui. Then onto Mavericks in California. So i cancelled my ticket to Portugal and diverted myself to Hawaii. With a building swell we hooked up with Kai Lenny and crew and this is what we got. Enjoy

I really appreciate Kai’s articulation of the details, he allows viewers to understand how critical the game is. And so matter of fact about it, clearly a thorough and deliberate effort to his craft.

Can't believe how down to earth the Lenny brothers are amongst all the hype. Clearly paddle their own canoes.

Stellar film values. Straight up, these are the finest videos of Jaws I've ever seen. The camera angles are incredible, especially the from below shots, those give you a new appreciation for how big these waves really are. Unreal and heroic surfing by all hands. Great work!

Excellent footage, choice music, emphasizes the intensity of paddling in with those stiff offshore winds, brutal paddle in, great vid, thanks Tim

Your videos are the best Tim! As much as I love the shots of waves being ridden, I think I love the unridden wave shots you capture just a bit more. Thank you for the amazing footage!

Some gorgeous footage of incredible waves once the preliminary interview stuff is out of the way. It looks like the only trick, besides surviving that hairy initial drop, is not stalling out after dropping close to the trough and losing speed waiting for the wave to advance.

The first time I saw Jaws in the movie Laird made some years ago, I was amazed how perfect the wave is and the colour of the ocean, it just looks so beautiful when the sun is out on the break. Glad you guys took the time to get some epic shots of unridden giants as well 🙂
