LOL HA HA HA !!! This videio literally saved my weekend. I have set up a delay timer with LM393, etc. Could not get it work for anything, then I see here that I need to resistor to keep my output high until the RC overtook the non-inverting input voltage and grounded the output making my life once again enjoyable. Thank you so much, and I love your videos.
Nicely explained, as always. I realize that all of your demo circuits aren't necessarily complete, which is fine. But I think there should be a diode across the relay coil.

Of you skip the real world hardeare options, then you get a clearer picture of oscillator criteria. You need amplification with out of phase feedback AND also magnitude dependence. So the magnitude is self limiting to a level less than the voltage difference.
