Op amp Gain Confusion Answers to Questions

If the resistors in the feedback network are equal, an inverting amplifier will have a gain of -1, but a non-inverting amplifier will have a gain of +2.

    One advantage of an inverting amplifier is you can have gain of less than one, so if you were to put pot in place of R2 (or more likely in series with it), you can adjust the gain both up and down.

    When I was in school, we were making pages of calculus derivative and integration to get the answer. Nobody were realy understand how an op amp was working including the teatcher, I guess.

    Dear Bob, I wish you would analyze the PSU circuit represented in the 1978 october number of Practical Electronics. It is something is brought back into production lately, but it might have some serious flaws. I think more complex circuit analysis would be of great interest on your channel.
