Lars Mars Cars (please read the whole text) V8 Star, the motorsport series which was banned because the "National Association for Stock Car Racing (NASCAR)" thought they lose viewers. And they really lost about 8% of the viewers on US Television because the V8 Star was on television as a side program of the NASCAR Series. Obviously it was more fun to watch then 500miles around an Oval..?😂. So NASCAR vehemently intervened with the sponsors to disable this race series and sadly they actually managed that the main sponsors retired from the Race Series and in the 3rd year there was only a weak race calendar with just a few races, celebrity drivers were no longer on the series, the big teams retired, more sponsors retired and so it was the last Season. If you read on Wikipedia, there is a story that is not really right, but if you talk to people who were there at the time, you always hear exactly this story.

so they swapped out the engine? because 1:07 thats a chevrolet LS engine but i thought they ran the cadillac northstar engines same as the astra dtm cars when they were active

Lmp3 Cars are 5.0 v8s litres with 420hp, so they are similar

That's what I thought aswell. According to wikipedia they with a Roush engine originally. I guess this black car had a transplant.
