In my thirty five years of driving I have discovered bad things happen when I withdraw my sight from the road. So for me it is must for a car to have knobs that allow me to control things using only my tactile senses. It is a pity that that is becoming so difficult to get in modern cars. Good for Opel.

This one over 208/c3 it is down to earth with everything

When the engineers at Opel had almost finished the new Corsa on a GM basis, they had to develop this PSA-based vehicle within a few months. Hats off to the people at Opel. Btw I missed toilet paper in trunk.

I love number 100 but i had to break it, because as always Marek deserves thumbs up!

This Corsa is the first good looking Corsa. Kudos PSA!

i bought a corsa!! very top of the range in the uk ultimate! 130 auto is a bloody great car!!

At least the corsa is lighter than the 208 and supposedly feels snappier while driving.

I would definitely choose the Corsa over the 208, even on looks, you quickly get over the fresh looks of the 208, the Corsa seems more composed and stylish to me although having seen it from up close I was not impressed by the interior quality but still very functional for an everyday small car. Surely not at quality or ride level with my Polo but at 17400 euro here in Greece for the GT Line, 1.2 with the 8 speed auto and the 130 hp engine variant is a bargain and would have considered it if not already gone for the Polo.

Do the Corsa sale figures include Nova sales. I prefer the looks of the Corsa to the 208, and how much input did PSA put into the Corsa for you to be able to say that they did a decent job, as surely Opel started work on this before the takeover.

This new Corsa is good with that Elegance package and the EAT8 auto transmission works nice.

I think I'd go with the Clio (not because it is produced in my country!), second place for the Corsa.

Ive been waiting since Oct 19 for my Corsa e. Now understand it is stuck in Spain with the Lock Down. Tested one in UK and Happy can't wait

Ordered mine via Motability in November but the 11kw, Vauxhall said not available 2 weeks ago so reordered a Quartz Grey one as there were some built, it arrived in the UK and is sitting someplace and will be on the way to the dealership in Scotland this week.

I love my Corsa Car bought it Two weeks ago 🤗

In the current situation highly unlikely. Also, I didn't know there was a new Ibiza.

It's a nice unpretentious little car. For anyone tall or stiff though, I suspect that like to 208 it will be difficult to exit from. The relatively steeply rakes A pillar makes bending forward to get one's head out a fruitless exercise.

208 previous generation 110 hp automatic gear is the best they ever made.

Peugeot made a nice corsa :) Dealers who were trying to hide the buy-off jumping from their windows

Well i see there's a big difference between the countries from exemple here in morroco they don't have the same full option like roof and the others , well thanks for this review

it's 100kg lighter than the previous corsa, maybe that's why

the elegance version ,1,2,100ps,8AT,metalic paint, in Greece is 17640 euros. With many options on you could reach 20000 I guess. But no way 25000 you mention here! So you pay lots in Poland!

This is the price in Germany. I use German configurator for my English reviews. In Poland this car costs about 18-19k.

Would rather have analogue dials- the digital display looks lost as it is too small.

208 is a better car to look at and drive

Please clarify: small as in B-segment (supermini) such as the Corsa or compact as in C-segment such as the Astra?

If this vehicle were to still have had the GM 1.0 it would be a done deal for me. However, I have my reservations about PSA.

Corsa is a good car as always, but 25 grand is too much for any corsa

When the Corsa originally came out in the UK it was known as the ‘Nova’ (Vauxhall Nova), which is odd as it’s Spanish for ‘doesn’t go’. I bet the Spanish manufacturing plant were in fits of laughter building the UK cars.

It is quite amusement to watch your reviews Marek!! As for the review it is very detailed and with a very unique way, the corsa of 2020 I think it's the most beautiful ever made, but I would never buy an Opel because I never liked them 😁😁 , something in the design, honestly I can't explain why!! Compared to the 208 and knowing that the 208 is more expensive I 'd rather go for the peugeot despite that I don't like French cars...You will ask me what I really like and the answer is (in this category) Ford fiesta, but the 208 wins in design and because it is very simillar in dimensions and in offered room as the Fiesta but not as in handling , I would go for the 208!!!The interior is better looking than everything in its class and in a few categories above it!! Again great reviews and sorry for writing to much here but somehow I had to do this 😂😂😂 !!!

In 2010 I paid 23800 euros for opel astra 1.6 turbo 180hp sport level. 2020 Peugeot asks 25 with extra for the corsa? Hyundai i20 is cheaper and 5 years guarantee...

The good is thing is that it looks bigger in person, than it is. And Corsa looks better than Astra

I don't think it is fair to criticize the cornering grip of the 208 based on a test car with bad tires as most 208s sold will have normal tires like the Opel. The Peugeots I have owned have all had Michelin tires from the dealer. Bad tires can ruin the driving experience and safety of any car which is why you should newer cheap out on tires.

Not based on the tires, but on the general suspension setup - yes. I've driven a different 208 a couple of months earlier, and the Pug's twist beam is too lively.

@@MarekDrives The e-Corsa arriving in the UK are on Michelin, some Michelin Primacy yet a Vauxhall Launches for Dealers they were sitting on Michelin PS4's. In the UK the SE Nav is on 16" Wheels with 195 tyres and the Elite NAV is on the 17" with 205 tyres. There are no Sunroofs on the e-Corsa in the UK. The WLTP range really should not have the same figure for the car on 195's over the ones on 205's.

Is it better than Skoda Fabia?

Mk3 Fabia - yes. Mk4 Fabia - no.

The new Corsa may not be as appealing to our eyes as the Peugeot 208, but I am almost certain it's more robust and solidly built than the French supermini.

Would be the other way round as it’s owned by PSA - the build quality of the 208 is way ahead of much of the comp. As that’s just like saying a Skoda Fabia is better built than a Volkswagen Polo

In my opinion, the most important quality criteria are the assembly of the materials, their durability over time, and the general sense of solidity that the driver of the car receives, areas in which the French cars traditionally do not do so well.

This car is great except... the ride is way too firm. It's firmer than the 208 because that's "german" as Opel put it (GM didn't allow this firm ride, put PSA let Opel do what they want). I had a ride in the back of a Corsa on 15" and I couldn't tolerate it after 1 minute.

Drives okay. Practical but yet very boring inside and out. 4/5 stars.

Better than 208, but too expensive, for 24000 euros you can buy a mazda 3 g122 with all extra options.
