That is my motto.
I am a german car driver with 20 + years of driving experience and as you could have guessed: I love cars. I show you how I drive from my POV with two onboard cams. There is “no speedlimit“ for me, only the limit of the car can stop me. I demonstrate acceleration tests ( 0-100 kph / 0-200 kph / 100-200 kph / 200-300 kph ), high-speed-runs and test drives on the German Autobahn / Deutsche Autobahn. With my videos I want to give you a real and raw driving experience with all type of cars (manual, automatic, electric, hybrid) and all the noises that come with it. So let‘s find out how fast I can drive, shall we? But I have one last message for you: Please don‘t test your limits on the streets when you don‘t know what you are doing. Soy un conductor de automóviles alemán con más de 20 años de experiencia como conductor y como habrás adivinado: me encantan los automóviles. Te muestro cómo conduzco desde mi punto de vista con dos cámaras a bordo. No hay "límite de velocidad" para mí, solo el límite del automóvil puede detenerme. Astra G are really underrated. I got an 1.8 16V as a daily and it beats alot of cars with more hp. had zero problems in over 10 years

Yes... but specs from opel for this car is that max speed is 188kmh so speedometer is lying..

@@maxaccelerationspeedcarstv6855 Not exactly , i think in this video it going around 200 km/h maybe it probably 197 -198 km/h. 22 km/h is very big gap for reality. They put same specs for all chassis versions all 1.6 101 hp hb /sedan / coupe / cabrio has sharing same spec , i dont think its true specs for cabrio / coupe , also yeah there is it says max 188 km/h but i considering it can go 195 km/h around.

Speedo is lying ?? Go check out by yourself, with GPS Speed. Car have a very correct Speedo. Topspeed of my Car 206GPS while Speedo show 210. By the Way, Engine Specs are 101HP, but in reality Engin produce 108HP.
Very beautiful! Astra G , the car of my life ! I had 2 , now I have another 2. 15 years driving just Astra , almost 300 000 km done with all 4 , and never let me down! All of them was used cars !

Yeah man... I'm with you. I bought mine in 2003 with 8.000km, now it's 2023 and today it got the 200.000km on its hour. I love my astra g forever. The best Cabrio on this planet. I hope it will make the 250.000km
That's extremely... impressive for 101 PS, and in a cab too. The sound level also seems good for a cab from 2002.

Ich habe ebenfalls ein Astra G Cabrio mit dem 1.6er. Ich liebe dieses Auto und für seine Verhältnisse geht der echt gut Vorwärts.
In Brasil we have a 2.0 8V 140hp 20 kgmf Astra version. Awesome car!
Damn, that speed was pretty good for a car of this size with only 101hp. Imagine that same engine on the Corsa, which came out on the GSi! Must walk a lot!

Ich bin bei dir. Ich kann mich von meinem einfach nicht trennen. Mittlerweile hat er echt schon gelitten, aber genau heute habe ich die 200.000 mit ihm gefahren. Was für ein Moment. Wenn die Sitze reden könnten, dann hätten sie echt n paar coole Storys zu erzählen. Wird Zeit dass es wieder Sommer wird und ich das Dach aufmachen kann

I have the G Coupe with Z20LET (192hp and 250Nm). Would be a great comparison to the 1,6l Cab (1.6l engine only was in Cab, not in Coupe).

On the odometer 210 km/h, in reality always 5-10% less, that is about 195 km/h dependning on the size of wheels, mandatory safety correction of the speed odometer, anyway its a pretty good speed for a cabriolet with 100 ps

Ma mere a eu la 1.8 16v 125 ch coupé bertone pack et elle montait a 225 compteur au max du max et ce jour la nous étions 4 a bord le seul truc concernant cette vidéo j'ai un doute sur l'origine des compteurs car le 1.6 16v avait un compteur gradué jusqu'à 220 km/h /230 km/h seulement et a l'origine normalement ,et pas 240/250 me semble t il, le 240/250 étant ceux du 1.8 16v 125 ch ou 2.2 16v 147 ch.

It still got ABS. In my opinion you don't need ESP in it.

Is it a factory or some tuning? The technical data shows a maximum of 190 km / h for this car and engine. I understand that 200 km / h will go but 31 km / h is a lot and the video shows 211 km / h

The Car is rated with 101HP, but in reality the Engine produce 108HP The 1.6 16V from this Aera all produced 108HP.

@@Mave242 Lol. I sayed nothing about the Topspeed, 0-100 or other Things. All i sayed was that the Engine got 108Hp Stock and not 101Hp. Everyone who can Read and Understand is in advantage.

@@Mave242 aber würde das nicht im Fehlerspeicher stehen wenn's n elektronischer defekt ist? Ich hab mittlerweile die Vermutung das irgendwo was undicht ist und er dadurch falsch Luft zieht

@@verschepard leider nein. Ich hab das selbe Problem mit dem x20xer gehabt. Da war es der leerlaufsteller. Kann natürlich sein, daß es ein undichte gummistück ist. Die sind gerne da undicht, wo man es nicht sieht... Unterseite. Ich tippe auf leerlaufsteller

@@Mave242 auf jeden Fall danke für den Tipp. Ich werde nächste Woche das mal in der Werkstatt überprüfen lassen. Jetzt grad konnte ich zumindest 30km ohne Probleme fahren. Und dabei hat mein geliebter die 200.000 überschritten. Oh man, ich weiß noch wie ich den damals gekauft habe mit 8.000 auf der Uhr. Ich kann mich einfach nicht von ihn trennen😁😁😁

Ich hab mittlerweile etwas herausgefunden. Wenn ich ohne Heizung fahre, ist alles in Ordnung. Ich kann kilometerweit fahren ohne das auch nur annähernd die Drehzahl abstirbt. Das Problem tritt nur auf wenn ich die Heizung an habe. Dann stirbt er mir beim auskuppeln ab. Hat jemand einen Rat?

Gab's denn außer das Sportgetriebe und die Automatik noch ein anderes Getriebe für diesen Motor? Zumindest in der Astra Limousine nicht. Und 185 ist doch gut, der Astra 3 Türer ist mit 188 angegeben, hab ihn aber nie völlig ausgefahren.

@@dirkulrich4657 Ja es gab bzw. Gibt auch das Schongetriebe. MG4 Sportgetriebe, M79 Schongetriebe 😊. Die 185 langen total für den Kühlschrank auf 4 Reifen 🤣🤣🤣.

@@Hardwaremods MG 4, M79? Was sind das für Bezeichnungen, die hab ich im Zusammenhang mit Opelgetrieben noch nie gehört. Im G sitzt das F17, bei den grösseren Motoren das F23, im Corsa E Turbo hab ich das M32, aber deine Bezeichnungen hab ich bei Opelgetrieben noch nie gehört, und ich beschäftige mich bzw schraube seit ca 30 Jahren an den Kisten aus Rüsselsheim. Und wie gesagt, zumindest beim Astra G ist mir beim 1.6 16V kein Schongetriebe bekannt, zumindest nicht ab Werk, wäre ja bissl kontraproduktiv bei dem Motor der schon bissl Drehzahl braucht um munter zu werden. Beim Zaffi weiss ich's nicht, aber da der den G als Basis hat...

@@Mave242 Das meinige im Corsa E hat jetzt knapp 190tkm vorwiegend Langstrecke hinter sich, befindet sich, ausser einem Ölwechsel, in dem Zustand wie es das Werk verließ und funktioniert problemlos, keinerlei Anzeichen eines baldigen Lagerschadens etc. Ist im Corsa wohl die X-te Ausbaustufe, und die soll wohl halten. Zumindest bei meinem Exemplar stimmt's.

1.6 Sr was produced 2000-2006, Opel had 100hp from 1.6 8v in 1989(Corsa a gsi)

@@snojer4311 ok gsi a kind of sporty model, but a standard mk4 golf had the 1.6 sr .and im speaking about this model of astra specifically which is on this video , this 16v engine can produce up to 120ps with reliability

As far as i know the main reason of 16v is for fuel save and not to gain Power. Over that its a little bitte more torque than the 8v.

This cannot be a 1.6!! Tachometer is not from a 1.6 and it just cant do 200+. it just cant. its fysics unless its tuned but then it neither would have 101hp. Probably a 1.8L. My 2.0 Astra G station does 218kmph on GPS. that is with 35 more HP.

The tacho goes to 250kph, so it's not a 1.6 16v 100ps, i think 1.8 125ps or 2.2 147ps, but absolute not 1.6 100ps!!
