I have also noticed many ALDL to OBD cables do not work! I have yet to find a working one actually for my older ALDL socket. I had one, then made a complaint, got another defective one, then crimped one myself and it works flawlessly.

Hi. Thanks for the video. I bought version 1.70 from China and connect to car and cleared error 120309a with software. But with this software I can't get any security code. As in your video, I downgraded first V1.39 and updated it to V1.65 via software. But now I can't connect with car. Software 120309a and 161001a has no connection. Which revision have I select in OP-COM settings? (Revision A,B,CD) Which driver version should I install? please can you help me .The car is 2009 Opel Zafira B.

Hi Yoyo D, I am struggling with the 1.99 Opel Opcom. I have managed to install the hardware drivers on Windows 10 and the software which came with it. Is the Accessoires setup (1 turn ignition) enough or does the engine of the car needs to run ? The Software keeps tell me.. Please Input USB, but is fully plugged in. Hello great guide. Can the chinese clone with ver. 1.59 be updated to 1.65. I found fw ver. 1.65 opcom on aliexpress and they claim that it can be upgraded, the same can not be said for the 1.59. I am temted to order one with 1.95 fw and downgrade it? What is your opinion on that? I need a opcom that can work with my Astra H 2005 and some newer vehicles.

Hello. If it is not powered by the car it means that the problem is in the car. Measure pin 16 in the obd socket of the car and see if it comes 12V, possibly burnt fuse or broken wire.

If these clones can do something, imagine what the originals can do + plus the fact that you have support from the manufacturer. if I help people make them functional it is because not everyone can buy original products and for DIY activity they should be as little functional as possible

Hello. Downgrade to version 1.39 exactly as I did in another video, then connect Opcom to the new software version and scan the car. Until the scan starts it will automatically update the firmware. It should be noted that the PIC must be original.

Brother 99% of opcom built last few years are all fake pic18f458 they are all rebranded fakes of PIC18F45K80 and updating with orginal firmware will turn your 1.65 opcom to a paperweight 😂😂

Use opcom flasher, its a shortcut on the desktop. Find 1.64hex file.

I have v1.99 I couldn't connect the ACU so I downgraded to v1.65 as it is the version that people use for the same car but the problem persists. When it blocks, is it possible to identify? Can I downgrade to v1.39 and then upgrade via software? What would be the ideal software version for the Corsa-B Gsi 1995/1996 engine X16XE?

Well, just bought chinese 1.99. It works well with software op-com 110530a(advanced) by fantomel. Even managed to retrieve pin code from the engine: after you picked engine from the list press programming -> security code and voila. Also managed to activate some functions in REC. However this software version doesn't allow you to read eeprom from the instrument section, but it's possible to make eeprom's dump from the main menu. For me works stabe without an issue
