Thanks for posting this! Been commenting asking questions and you’ve been super helpful. I’m actually going to my first locals in a few days and I’m still deciding whether I want to run a classic sky island build, a sky island rush ace build, a classic fortress build with doflamingo, or a fortress build with no doflamingo but with some gedatsu and sugar. I’m either going super defensive or super offensive lol. Which of those builds do you think I should I run with?

no problem! thx for asking questions XD If you're not sure, I'd just go with whatever you feel will be the most fun for you! whatever gels more with your playstyle at the moment is probably the best choice. I think if you're really unsure, the fortress build is a bit safer and will probably be easier for you to make decisions with your gameplay. Sky Island and aggro builds can be tricky and you have to make hard decisions when going for lethal, so to take the pressure off and just have fun, maybe going fortress is better and as for which fortress, that depends on the meta you see as well, but honeslty ive been loving Doffy in my OP7 Yamato builds so I say go with that : ) Hope that helps!

@@FudelioTCGthank you! I know I was vague haha and it definitely is up to me but just hearing that secondary input really helps. I think I’ll go with the classic fortress with doflamingo. There have been a handful of sim games against the new ST13 leaders where doffy really would’ve came in handy. I’ll definitely be keeping up with uploads and I’m sure I’ll be asking more questions! Thank you again!

Nice! Haha no worries, and that sounds good. Good point too. Against the 3 brothers leaders, running Doffy can be extremity strong to lock their leader! Thanks for the kind words too. Good luck at your locals!

@@FudelioTCGof course! And thank you! I’m nervous but the LGS’s Im going to have always had nice people so I’m looking forward to it. Also I just thought of one thing, should I try to run sugar & gedatsu in my deck along with doffy? Would it be smart to only commit to either having doffys with a heavy defense or having sugars & gedatsus for a more offensive emphasis? Or is there a middle ground where I can have both sides

@@kurokohi That’s good. I’m sure you’ll have fun especially if the ppl are nice. Don’t worry about winning, just have some fun playing some one piece :) I think if you’re running doffy you could try to run Sugar bcus it’s another donquixote search target, but I don’t think you’ll have enough room for Gedatsu

What is samurai Yamato?

Samurai Yamato is a new build that came out in OP7 in the East that utilizes the “you can be my samurai” event card from OP1 that lets you rest 2 char and draw 2 cards. It’s a new combo deck that gets a lot of draw and makes it so you can be defensive and aggressive with Yamato at the same time, something that was never possible before

M8 just play rankeds at some decent lvl pls... your oponents are trash we literally can't see if it's actually good.

Normally I’m able to get higher lvl gameplay but unfortunately for this one I didn’t have the time to keep playing or do ranked. I live in Japan so I don’t play on the ranked servers bcus it’s not the actual meta I play IRL and time differences can make it hard, but I’ll keep that in mind for the next one if I can’t get games that are at a high enough standard. Thx for watching though 🙏🏼
