Really cool hearing your insight! On an even curve I'm definitely going to apply the 6 don turn for Blocker Doffy and then Leader ability. I keep being too hasty to know what I have on top of the deck that I didnt consciously realize the flow on 4 don with Blocker Doffy ends up being awkward.

I like the way you prefer going 2nd. Seems really solid for the double search turn 1 then going into leader ability plus blocker law to protect what came from top of deck.Then if you don’t see perona hard dropping the 4 cost turn 2 then playing blocker doffi and leader ability turn 3 is a nice alternative. Also taking the even curve works better for the 10 cost kaido. I feel like every other doffi seems to think it’s go first or bust.

Yes correct! You nailed it on the sequence. Going second is preferred but going first is no big deal because doffy still works very well on first don curve

Very nice first video! Can you post an EB01 Decklist? Thinking about playing him in a online regional. Don't like the animal kingdom engine besides kaido though.. Weevil will be a great addition to the deck and this might be enough to make him better I hope 😅

I didn't know you had YT Channel! I was inspired by your deck when I saw your interview with Heart Pirates and played Blue Doflamingo ever since. What on your thoughts on Duval as an early body to protect you from more aggro oriented decks as well as still being able to manipulate the top of your deck? I've been alternative between 3-4 for the past few tournaments and noticed he's really good into Yamato as well. Would you keep Gravity Blade at 2 or change it to 3 or even 4? 4 may be a lot, but I find it to be devastating against BY Luffy or anything that requires a KO to trigger it's effect, like Kikunojo. Sakazuki it's nice too, as it either gets rid of Moria's targets, or hits Sabo and something else that swings for a decent amount, like Lucci. I was running Sanji/Mihawk up until now because we can manipulate so much with Perona, Doflamingo and Duval. Was consistently chaining Mihawk off of Sanji. However, they can be bricks in the hand when you do run into the odd games where you can't manipulate the top deck as well... so I'm going to give the Kaido's a try! It has 2 duvals in them that I like to use either early game if I don’t see my searchers, or late game when I need the blocker. Mid-game I prefer to use duval as counter in most scenarios. Cheap blockers are very good vs yellow, so I run quite a lot this set but I do value 1c law more than duval. Gravity blades are very very good this meta, I went from running 2 to 3 because I NEED to see it at least once a game if I want to win against Moria, saka, kata, or BY sabo. If I don’t see gravity blade it’s very hard to win. They like filing their board up with ~5c characters mid-late game so it’s very helpful if you can pull off gravity blade before your 10c kaido turn. The only tricky thing about gravity blade is choosing how to organize your top 5 to play around using gravity blade for x turn ;p

@@wimmiebear I'm going to look at your updated list, but first I wanted to just reply here. Yeah, Duval is really nice if you can't get Perona or your 3c Doflamingo to help facilitate your leader's plays and he can absolutely just stun some match ups by himself simply because he's a cheap blocker. He reminds me of the 1c Law a lot in that respect, except Law can be recycled with Moria, and Duval has counter on him, so they both have different, beneficial uses I feel! I'm was running x3 Gravity Blade, but upped it to 4 and took out Red Roc. Roc was getting rid of big threats, but my cheap blockers are normally enough to fend them off while I push for game. NORMALLY! XD But I'm still testing it. It's also super helpful against trigger effects like Kikunojo and Perospero KO effects, and of course as you said, Moria, Saka and especially BY Luffy. They need stuff in the trash to help with their leader skill and push for game against you, but it's a lot harder when you bottom deck those 5c characters and they end up not being able to see them for the rest of the game. And I agree! I usually take like 20 seconds when I'm trying to determine with Perona, Duval or 3c Doflamingo what order I'm going to put stuff on top simply because of Gravity Blade being in my hand, but god it's a fun card! With Edward Weevil coming out soon, I need to figure out what I'll be dropping to make room for him. Hopefully the decision has been easier for you than it has been for me :( EDIT: P.S how do you like the 2k Tsuru?

great video! i was hoping you’d make a video about the deck at some point. i have two questions! 1. is the 4c/6k Moria the ideal leader ability target bc 6k is harder to k.o.? (until weevil comes out in eb01) 2. scry X.Drake and Duval didn’t make the cut this time around? thanks for the video, looking forward to more

TBH my go-to leader ability target is 4c/5k recycle gecko because he has an on play effect to bring me back one card. I feel you get the most value from characters with on-play effects in current sets because playing out a vanilla or something with no on-play effect loses you tempo if it just gets removed before your next turn so recycle-gecko is always best bet for me, depends on each deck you’re VSing though. If it’s a leader with 6k power then I’d prefer playing the 6k gecko I tested xdrake and duval in my deck but realized majority of the games I played you didn’t use either cards for their search ability, they were acting as 1k counters for me because I heavily preferred 3c doffy and 1c perona as my searchers. So I took them out to replace duval with 1c blocker laws and dragon twister

@@wimmiebear got it! that’s true, the on play recycle is pretty sweet, i’ll have to keep that in mind. and gotcha! i tested it a few times too and i noticed i was mostly using them for counter. thanks again!

any tips playing against green 8c Kid? been having tough times at local with your decklist against my local meta. solid video with many helpful tips!

If your locals play a lot of green decks you should swap out thousand worlds with red rocks instead. For me whenever I have to deal with 8c kid I let my kaido swing deal with him

Is the 9 cost Sanji not worth running?
