ST1 I don’t feel sorry for OP, how can you stay with someone who harasses another human being all because they used to be friends with you years ago, they got with your ex after you decided to put them through a “loyalty” test to see if they would date your ex despite you giving them your blessing, then after they broke up you pull the you failed the loyalty test, that they used to be fat like you but decided to lose weight whilst you for whatever reason can’t or refuse to lose weight so you insult them behind their back, and because you’re jealous that she was doing well in life when you were hoping the opposite. She’s not remorseful as she still believes all her own lies, believes Laura overreacted by taking this to both civil and criminal courts, and accusing Laura of being a narcissist and vindictive when in actuality OP’s wife is the one who overreacted, is a narcissist and the vindictive one all because of Laura decided to end their relationship years ago. OP deserves to lose his money if he stays with that monster because he has the opportunity to leave her and divorce but won’t take it.

I agree and him having to pay the money for the lawsuit was only just phase 1 of what’s to come. It’s incredibly clear the wife has no remorse and is salty that she got sued, she blames her ex best friend for suing her when she didn’t know when to stop, there’s no such as thing as getting carried away if she’s pissed she got sued and doesn’t feel bad. The fact that she also refuses to see a therapist or go to couples counseling when she’s in hot water, also proves as much. For crying out loud if OP is even asking how does he convince his wife to do this, he himself already knows there’s no way as he’s only delaying the inevitable as there’s no person on the planet that can convince someone that doesn’t want to be convinced, especially since he’s her husband he’d be one of the few people to convince her. It amazes me that OP didn’t immediately divorce her right as this lawsuit started, plus he could’ve actually avoided having to pay for legal fees.

Story 1: I would say OP wife is a psycopath but psycopaths are suposedly smart people, she's just nuts. OP trying so hard to defend his monster of a wife, just think he deserves what she certanly will do to him in the future

We only talk about the smart psychopaths, because those are the ones capable of better hiding themselves and deflecting attention. They are like any other trait in the human population, and there are a whole slew of dumb ones. We just know them as selfish assholes, incapable of looking outside themselves because they are both psychopathic and dumb.

story 1 - OP wife needs mental healthcare. 2. should have divorce her as soon as this crap came out and the paperwork showed up. Then he could have got out of the debt and paid for his wife to have a good lawyer. GET YOUR WIFE THERAPY. Before she does this crap again. Group is free and there's free therapy options out there now. Not tons but some.

OP in story one comes across as an enabler. Dude, your wife's psychotic actions resulted in you one step away from the poorhouse. You need to take off the kid gloves and spell it out for her...get therapy or get a divorce. Because right now it sounds like she's pulling you down too. The lengths OP's wife have gone through sound like a movie plot, but some people have done similar things like mass doxing attacks and spamming. It happens.

Depending on what country/state they live in, a MASSIVE number of insurance/ insurance plans will cover Mental health related visits for therapist/psychologist/psychiatrist and the lot. Some will offer Internet/zoom type appts for free (personally I feel doing that sort of thing online instead of in person is absurd or at the very least much much less effective. Also states and countries offer it for free.
