Oops! I Sold a Cow that Ran Away
True story from one of my first (disastrous) food growing experiences intertwined with today’s VLOG where we lose a ChickShaw wheel, admire the pasture pigs, get a fishing pole off the roof and harvest veggies. Learn to Grow Food: bit.ly/DIYAbundanceMembership

Love your story about the cow that ran away! I truly enjoy watching you and your family take care of your farm and your family, the garden is producing so well, thanks for sharing!👍♥️
We are internet famous (14:35)! The line forms to the left for our autographs.... We ended up not buying that cow, we would have to go into debt to purchase her. We are still looking for an A2/A2. Justin was quick to respond and really helped us tremendously.
2:03 omg 😳 @Justin Rhodes I'm gonna need a separate video on how you explained to everyone that you couldn't tell the difference right at the beginning between a boy moo-moo and a girl. 🤣 you could add their reactions as well haha! lesson learned from this separate video: gotta stay humble, we all make mistakes.
If I had land for cows, I would totally take your advice as a newbie homesteader! Heck, I'll take all of the advice from someone who's been there and done it time and time again over no advice at all. I'm super excited for what's to come because I just joined your membership area. I'm a current school teacher and all of my co-workers think that I'm crazy about this homesteading life, (no matter how small mine is right now). It'll be nice to not be thought of as crazy in this community. Thank you!
Love this video and the way you presented past and present intertwined together. Great story, thank you
I want to thank you for sharing so much with us even if we aren't members. I also really like that you limit the number of people you have at any given time with all of the rest of your responsibilities. I assume that makes it possible for you to give the memberships the time and attention they need. I am also really excited about the addition of the other homesteaders which will benefit everyone all around. I'm starting to plant and raise my own chickens but I don't know if I will be able to join right now but I really hope to be able to the next time it is open. I have gotten my mom hooked on just about all of your individual channels at this point too! Lol
Beautiful tomatoes 🍅 harvest, roasting team sounds good 👌 big green bean
thanks for everything you do. i became a member today!
Mr. Brown is such a cutie, how in heavens did his shoe end up on the roof?
Awesome harvest... Have a wonderful tomorrow 🌻
I’ve never clicked so fast!! 😂😂😂 love your videos my first video I watched form you was “ I wasn’t ready for these 75 chicks!!!” And I’ve been watching since. You’ve come so far
Love your work! Keep going!
I look forward to joining the member area once we finish saving up enough for our 3 generation family homestead. Meanwhile, growing in containers and preserving farmers market "harvests" all teaching us skills for the future.

I loved the video!! Run away cow! Lol. She was lonely. ❤️
Nice view...good job..
I love the videos keep them coming
Can you do part of a video on what NOT to feed chickens? I feel like you covered some of this in a really old video (maybe in the Teabag era), but a list of foods that are not okay would be awesome. Thanks for all of the awesome videos!
🤣. Half way through, and I can see where this is going...
Recently found your channel. Enjoy your informative videos. Your kids are so lucky to be raised on a farm. Ordered Salad Bar Beef. You have the cleanest hog pens I have ever seen. End of bullet points. (or should I say pullet points? get it? bwahaha) :)
Waffle is so cute and sweet, I’m so glad y’all didn’t just butcher her she looks like a beautiful friendly hen
Love you all.
Hey Rebecka Rhodes? Would cauliflower rice work? I haven't really tried it much but I am thinking ahead to what I want to grow to shift to eating mostly what we grow.
Great video

What feed do you use for the sea monsters? I only ask because I really want to begin harvesting my own meat.

Laughing out loud you lost your beef 😂🤣Where’s the Beef😅 heads up your sound has been muffled the last two videos. Thanks for all you do
WOW, pigs are getting Big 😱
What about the kitchen?
@5:07 Where's the beef? LOL
Amazing
I wish you'd stick to the story instead of mixing it up with random other things that I'm not interested in because I clicked the link to hear your story in the video title.
I don't understand why the feed that you throw to the chickens is so fine ground. Seems like it wastes a lot of protein and money that way. I know you want it to get them scratching through the mulch and dirt but seems like it wastes too much - why is it so fine? I know there is something that I don't know as the reason. I just can't think of what it may be. HELP Maybe using a strainer to dip into the grain would keep the fine dusty stuff back which could then be swilled? It's driving me nuts trying to come up with the 'why' and I just don't understand.
Hi Justin can you please make a video of those meat birds.
I could really use some of those veggies!
Thanks for the great content. This year I will not be able to subscribe, but maybe next year.
Please please please keep Penguin!!!

All people start as young and stupid, you have to go thru the road of hard knocks. We must go thru stuff and things to get anywhere. No skipping young and stupid to be older and maybe wiser.
First!
Well I guess I'm first this time.
