I love how everyone is like cheering and clapping but as soon as the horse got loose everyone went quiet to not upset him, and the commentator just very calmly went 'Ladies and gentlemen there are a lot of horses please be calm and quiet and then nothing bad will happen' and everyone listened. Beautiful horses too!

I think this is horrible for the horses. people didn’t go quiet, some where even whistling and screaming when that one horse got lose. It’s a ridiculous thing that humans want but the horses surely not, just like a circus or cat and dog shows.
The horse was thinking." I don't need a man to run next to me, they are here to see me."🥰

@@ubub834 These are absolutely stunning animals but to force them to look in a certain direction or to hold their posture a certain way or to walk a certain way because it makes them look "proper" is not right. Same with dog shows or any other animal "sport" humans use for their own gain. I get wanting to show off an animal because they're gorgeous but this is not natural. These animals are not objects to be shown off like a trophy. So I get what you mean. At least I think I do.

ub ub Just exactly where do you think they are going to run free, and who is it you think is going to care for them. I appreciate what you're trying to say, but you are saying it without proper knowledge, reasoning, and logic to back you up. There are healthy and unhealthy human/animal relationships. In many cases, when it comes to domestic animals, it is a mutually advantageous relationship. Many of these human/animal relationships are founded on mutual love and respect. This is something so many of us animal rights activists fail to comprehend. "And when they are old," many loving and responsible owners/partners/companions, do exactly what you want to picture in your perfect world. My neighbors never sell a horse. They give them incredible care, they work with and ride them, then they retire them to live a quiet and undisturbed pastoral life. Their horses throw a fit when they leave, and become jubilant when they return. I spend over ¼ of my net income caring for my animals, and barely make it through each month. My 19 goats love me so much, that they literally fight one another for my attention. I have to wonder if people who have such all or nothing views on these symbiotic human/animal relationships are just projecting their own lack of interest in sacrificing for the common good. That said, I 100% believe we should all be fighting for the ethical and humane treatment of all animals. However, that advocacy has to reflect the reality that we all share this planet, and concessions will have to be made on all sides.

ub ub I do understand your concerns. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the fact that you care so much. I feel that we are probably kindred spirits. I also believe that we must temper our judgements and choose our battles in order to maximize our effectiveness. I think we have to avoid thinking or implying that everyone is the same. Instead of brushing over everything with broad strokes of generalization. We have to pinpoint the specific issues at hand. You responded to my previous comment so quickly, you may not have seen my final edited version, in case you're interested enough to read it again. I think you are probably someone I would love to sit down with face to face and discuss both our shared and opposing views on such subjects. @@smellyolegoat150 Thank you for your kindness. I just hate everything that has to do with with horses, trainings for winning anything. Its sport. Never saw so many unhappy things about it. Dance horses all over the world. They have often more than 3 owners, not cause of love, only for winning and money. Its sad, no fun. If the people like watching the win ning shows they sbould learn to train themself for any kind of art. When the horse is old and useless, the owner says goodby...Thats the case.
Best reaction I've seen to a loose horse in an event like that tbh. They didn't swarm the horse and everyone stayed (mostly) quiet. Usually everyone on the ground swarms and tries to catch the horse while it's moving, the crowd starts screaming, and the whole thing is a disaster. Props to these guys.
I just love it that the runaway horse finally goes to the lady in the audience and surrenders, looking for guidance. ❤❤❤ I understand why she is so happy.
Tymen was definitely handsome, but Tjebbe looked like he was having a fantastic time playing keep-away from the handlers! Get well soon, Yvonne! We miss you and we are all thinking of you! Hi from Mountlake Terrace, WA, USA. Just watching this one again. It's so hard to believe how beautiful these stallions are. They all look like they are floating when they are trotting. Amazing! And of course, it was a lady that the horse came to when they caught him. He really looked like he was enjoying himself. I am very impressed that no one got hurt when he got loose. Dawn Bellerive - or end up in hospital, with major broken bones.
@kiddfaith4397
4 жыл бұрын
Dawn Bellerive One thing I learned was that, when leading a horse while standing between it and the wall, they’re more likely to step on you if you look at the wall. This is because they follow your eye movements as a reference to where you’re going, and you can get pretty squished between horse shoulder and wall if you’re not careful, Lol. I’ve been stepped on by a few horses, and once you become more aware of the space the horse takes up while you’re leading, it just kinda stops happening. Getting stepped on tends to be something beginners experience, and especially getting kicked. You get taught to avoid the triggers, and there are strict stable rules for avoiding getting stepped on, kicked or bitten. You’re also more likely to break something while riding, and thankfully my falls in my early riding days were saved by my ability to tuck & roll. I can’t say I ever worked with a stallion, though; only mares and geldings.

None, if the horse likes them and they like the horse. Horses are not likely to step on people.
@OneCaliforniaAngel
3 жыл бұрын
@@susanedwards4581 I agree. Horses take cues from a person's state of being...calm or panicked as well as liking each other and mutual trust. Someone at the stable I used got their stallion so worked up that the he was nearly destroying himself and the stall. They were talking about putting him down because they couldn't get him to calm down enough to ride...they thought he was crazy. (This particular situation was a perfect example of how wealthy doesn't equal intelligent.) Worried for the horse and in an effort to save him, I asked to ride him to which they agreed...if I could (they scoffed and rolled their eyes). To make sure they had no doubt that the horse was not the problem, I calmly took his saddle and halter off, climbed onto him bareback, and rode him around the meadow totally calm. He obeyed every command with ease. They just stood with their friends and stared with their mouths hanging open. I felt so bad for the horses that were owned by this person who didn't get horses at all. Horses are much smarter than some people give them credit for. I think trust between the horse and the handler makes a big difference for staying safe around a horse, especially a stallion.
