80% of the diamond ranks I come across while playing M O M M Y are Ken mains. It’s genuinely beginning to annoy me

Watching Marisa remains a freaking joy. She is probably my favourite newcomer to the SF roster since Juri.

Who would have thought BIG MAMA MARISA would become one of MAX’S mains, but, here we are.

It's honestly heartwarming seeing just how much max loves the game If this were any other game, he would've just left it sit down until dlc came around

Fighting games get boring fast no matter what. The only people who play play are on drugs or playing for money or both. I mean like adderall and stuff I even used to and still got bored. That’s why fighting games need to have consistently good dlc people and add ons. But some are straying away for some reason like mk11 which is why max left thag game

@@mrthanos8140fair, I feel that people stay with fighting games because they're just a fun time, and a core appeal of them is understanding how they work and hitting that amazing feeling of spontaneity, hitting that cool unpractical combo, having the ability to jump from different flow charts in seconds There's fun in mastery and optimization

It may be a niche but it is growing thanks to new approach for casuals such as more singleplayer content aswell as more game modes to try. Multiplayer ranked is not the only thing you can stick to

Hey max! A good followup with DI wall splat is 6HK into superman punch! If you have the meter, spend it for ex, then charge 4HP into HP gladius. You could combo this into lvl 2 super or level 3! Lvl2 super is more consistent with ex Gladius! Hope this helps!!

Ive only really played sf5 and sf6 and can def say sf6 a bit of an improvement. I have touched on sf2 and sf3 tho and may have to disagree with you. Seem like there is a bit more to the game with 3rd strike.

@@doctordice2doctordice210 well I only dont want to downplay sfv. I got into sf just before sf6 dropped, and sfv is responsible for that. Sf6 has done loads more to take in newcomers without a doubt, but sfv aside from that was a solid enough game.

Juri is the Chipp of SF6. I know because I main both lmao

I have to ask as someone who doesn’t play SF; why wouldn’t people use the modern control setup if it gives access to instant DI and instant super? Is there a benefit to using legacy controls that modern doesn’t have?

DI is instant on classic if you map it to any extra buttons on your stick. Modern also has a 20% damage nerf on specials/supers and it loses some of the normal buttons on the character (light/medium/heavy/special instead of 3 punches/3 kicks). Besides that, a lot of people have been using classic controls for decades so it's a lot of muscle memory to shed off.

Both controls have access to instant DI, but other than that the down sides to using Modern inputs means you get a slight damage reduction and you lose easy access to some of your normals that you would otherwise have access to in Classic (accessing those normals in Modern would require you to press the auto combo button at the same time, but there is room for error there) Hope I explained that well enough!

Having less moves to work with makes you more predictable and less flexible in your game play You lose normals your character could've used and 2 versions of your special moves, only being able to do one version and the OD one, no light,heavy.medium

Because max doesn't struggle against guile that's same as you do People tend to run one game plan online, make them uncomfortable/break it and they'll fumble in front of you

I really am suprised max hasnt played world tour.of all people i thought he would be interested in the lore they put into the street fighter world and the hundreds of references Add the fact its kinda like a shenmue game???

Kinda takes a long time tho to be real. I had my fun, but the amount of level grinding you gotta do is insane. I think dmg is scaled by your gap in level rather than tied to your level, bc fights like 53 vs 54 wouldnt be close to 55 vs 54.

I don’t get why people don’t light dp Marisa’s lunge move, and sweep or neutral jump her armor moves. Do this and rush her down the whole time and she’s not as intimidating

Game has enough mental stack as it is. Adding the possibility of dying in two touches to the mix makes people play more conservative, and not go for some punishes unless they are 99% sure they will land.

There is def a lot to think about in neutral like drive rush, drive impact, parry, etc. For me I also see it as conditioning and having a certain game plan. If I know Marisa has a high damage output my plan is to rush her down and not give her a chance for offense. With Ken I learnt the hard way that I can either play scared of her the whole time or I can find immediate answers and make the opponent scared to do what always works for them, which is why sf6 is so damn fun

@@thinkwithvideos2238 If you pay attention to any of the recent "online matches" videos max has produced, the MK1 videos, max isnt as sharp or focused as he used to be. He drops combos he has routinely practiced CONSTANTLY and he even says it to himself out loud. Max is getting older and playing fighting games in your older age is like driving a car. Your reaction and response times get worse and it's starting to show

@@OnionJuice517 Fair points I will concede that. Having fun is important but you know what is exponentially more fun? Watching the guy you are betting on to win not drop his combos and comes out the victor. In ANY game that has a "win/loss" or a "victory defeat" style you would reasonably hope and try to put forth the type of talent and skill to make losing as far away from a reality as humanly possible. I have yet to see or hear one person or group in a competitive game setting go "Yeah, we went out there and we were really trying to lose"

@@gxqx797 Her CA is when she does the same thing, but when the opponent is on the wall, she walks up and punches the opponent in the face, then twisting it and swiping it away, leaving a heart imprinted on the opponents face before the KO screen happens. I know what it is dude. Should be more clear. During her normal level 3, the KO screen happens when she punches the opponent, but depends on how much how much health the opponent has/if it barely KOs, the KO screen happens once the opponent is on the wall and the she walks up with her fist in the air.
