Come along with us as we travel along the Oodnadatta track in outback South Australia.
Our first stop has us in Marree attending the Australasian Camel Cup, followed by some of the best outback driving there is. We explore around old railway sidings and ruins, take a soak in the stunning Coward Springs outback spa, and stay at some incredible free camps along the way, which we had all to ourselves!
And what trip through the outback wouldn't be complete without a stop at an iconic outback pub, this time it was the William Creek Hotel. You can't go past without stopping for a quick beer!

The camel cup was a very amusing day 😂😂. I think the donkey races were more entertaining than the camels though! Glad you like the new format, so far we like how the videos are looking.

Hey guys. The family and I are enjoying your videos. Is your caravan an off road caravan?

So glad you’re enjoying the videos ☺️ Our van is not technically an off road van… I guess you could probably call it semi off-road if you had to give it a classification. We have however taken it pretty much anywhere we have wanted. We just drive to the conditions and sometimes take things a little slower than others. That said, we haven’t damaged the van on any of our adventures (other than a couple of hoses). Hope that helps 👌

Looks like you have Ezitow independent suspension. Have yet to try ours over extensive corrugations. The 50mm available compression means relying on soft tyres rayher than springs to preserve the van. Keen to see how you go.

Hey 👋. Have don’t have ezitow suspension but have read a bit into it. From what we’ve read it sounds like it would be pretty good for corrugations etc. I guess the only way you’ll find out is if you give it a go 😅. Whenever we drive on rough dirt roads or corrugations we always drop tyre pressure, makes the ride so much better and helps protect that track a bit too. What type of van do you have?

@@Explore_oz Ours is a Coromal single axle 505 soft road poptop. OK on moderate dirt but never had to hit 100km of vorrugations, so far. I willkep wstchkng.

Hey 👋. Our triton is a 2019 glx+. We went the glx+ because we didn’t want carpet or leather seats etc that the higher spec models have. It’s basically stuff we didn’t want in a 4wd 😂. Overall the triton has done us very well over two years of full time travel. It’s spent most of its time towing a camper trailer and now the caravan and so far so good. It’s always going to have a few little gremlins but nothing major. More power would be nice for towing but we’re never really in a rush anyway.

Hi guys great video . 1 question , when you stop to camp overnight why do you disconnect the caravan from the car.

  • @Explore_oz

Thanks for the kind works Mark :). In regards to your question, normally we don't disconnect the caravan for an overnight stop. We forgot to get some firewood on the way in to camp so we had to pop out and collect some. Rookie mistake :D
