Eric Boss Absolutely. AKB is great. Love his videos.

My opinion falls in line very closely to yours on this one. Slightly small for my tastes but nothing wrong with it and I can see why it's well regarded. If someone told me I could only use this knife for the rest of my life, I wouldn't be offended. I've now added 1 to the view total.

I love this knife, it’s a classic... I have one in my collection right now planning on adding another. It’s a Beautiful blade & now that I added a deep carry clip I really have a hard on for this blade!

Brother, this review is a step above. You’ve got talent. Just got a RAT 2 in D2 steel in the mail today and I’m considering selling all my more expensive knives. It’s not assisted but it flies open as if it were. Perfect ergonomics.

Advanced Knife Bro do you subscribe to any pet theories? 911? JFK? Flat earth? NWO? Fluoride in de water? UFO's? Fake moon landing? Crop circles? Ancient aliens? Lizard people?

I have the RAT 1 and absolutely love it. $23 (AUS 8 version), feels big while cutting but small in the pocket. The AUS 8 gets wicked sharp very quickly, usually 30 seconds on a strop and good to go. Love the blade shape and the handle feels great. great vid, love a little humor in a knife review!

The Rat Model 2 is now available in D2 as of today. Check out knifeworks' new arrivals page. According to a post on bladeforums they'll also be offering them at BladeHq and Knife Center. Same Knife, Same Handle colors, better steel. Kind of ironic that they would become available the day after you do a review on the AUS-8 version. Great review none-the-less.

I helped my friend pick this out as a gift for her brother for xmas, since I was a casual knife guy. Then I couldn't stop thinking about this knife, and finding the perfect edc knife. Id really like a benchmade griptilian or bugout but I think I might get one of these and see how it works out.

My wife wasn't really a fan of knives ... funny enough on Christmas years ago i bought he a little RAT2 for her purse ... more as a gag gift. When i picked it up and handled it i became instantly impressed. Best 25 dollar knife i've handled. The D2 version is a steal as well. Its great for the money... i don't find it to be in my top of my list but definitely something i would recommend as a very budget friendly, good little user knife especially in the D2 version. The action is pretty impressive at that price point.

Great humor as always. Love the Rat II but the Model 1 is hands down my favorite EDC All day. Every day and twice on Sunday.

Liked and subscribe halfway thru first video. Hands down best knife review. Hilarious and informative. Absolutely love it.

Just replaced my Rat 1 I had for two years with a new Rat 1, and the new 1 came with a stonewashed blade,is that something new.

I picked up one of these a few days ago. So….does AKB initiate into the secret society or bohemian knife club or whatever? Do I fill out an application with Rockefellers?

Been watching knife vids all day and you're the best channel so far. I'll let you know if somebody beats you off, or you can let me know. Would you recommend this or the Rat 1 or Rat 1 D2 in the under $50 range or is there something else that you think is better? I realize that if I was working instead of watching videos, then I wouldn't be asking for under $50 knife recommendations. I also like larger knives in the 3.5" range.

Rat 1 is a little on the heavy side for my tastes but a lot of people love it. My taste in that size blade is a spyderco tenacious... check out my Budget knife recommendations video.

People would get mad... because I'd say there's no difference. I mean there is, but sure as shit if I can tell with as many knives as I have. Cedric and Ada is a great channel for that. I still might make this video down the road though.

Now with D2!! The ultimate EDC for people who don't know what EDC means. Can't be beat in its price range but I must admit I've acquired a Cutback Mini also. Time will tell.

Yeah... I tend to see a lot of my videos recommended on the side bar of my videos. I dunno if that means something, but I don't think my videos are suggested enough on other videos... the style is kind of different, so many people who like my videos aren't the typical people. I dunno- I think about it a lot- but thanks for checking out the channel!

Dig it. I have large hands ( I wear “large” size gloves) and this knife fits me great. Great value knife that’s easy to put a sharp edge on (you will get lots of practice sharpening the RAT II with its aus 8).

Man first up, insanely good review, WTF? Ontario and the illuminati. Now Ive seen everything. I dusted this knife off a few weeks back and Its quickly becoming my favourite work EDC once again. Why? Because this IS the modern Opinel no. 8. It has the same blade profile and FFG , amazing at food prep, the same 90 degree spine for ferro rod striking, its cheap, the Aus 8 gets easily shaving sharp and does away with the twist lock by incorporating quick one handed deployment and a pocket clip. I can even use this knife for wood whittling just like my opinel without the hotspots. Yeah its a little squishy behind that choil but who cares really, we’ve become too spoilt by Spydercos 50/50 choil. You can easily manipulate this knife in many hand positions well enough. I actually like this steel better than the D2 version because the D2 has been a total pain in the ass to sharpen on my Zancudo so Im happy to go back to the Rat 2 in good ole Aus 8 as Im too impatient and D2 takes forever. 10 licks on the white ceramic stones and zing. Ive changed my mind, this cheap knife is awesome. Dont let first impressions fool you, this Jeff Randall design gets a lot of things right and is a great option for the budget concious knife nerd.

It's a good snappy blade. I'd prefer the handle and blade to be a little longer, but not quite like the Rat I. However what I like and prefer is not what everyone else does.

Love this review. Had to watch it again and again. Spine "wax" next to the candles, I get it now. And I thought you didn't carry one-dollar bills because of demonetization. So much more to comment, but the fluoride is making me forget...

I just got mine 20 min ago. Paint on the blade has a flake scratched off already and the plastic scale is cracked from over tightening. Looks like $40 worth of junk. Sad because I followed the hype and should have gotten a qsp or civivi instead. 😢

Hilarious review, as always. Great little knife, too! Wish they'd offer it in D2, like bigger one.
