to add up, Samsung 35Es are 8 Amps max of continuous discharge so at a configuration of 10s3p, they will probably allow around 20 Amps which in my opinion is a very low Amperage for an Esk8. As for the overheating problem, probably the motors are too small for the load. They push more current when they are struggling to keep up so that might explain the issue.

Correct, this is a good example of a 12s3p to 10s4p power comparison although other factors like motor KV, gearing and the actual firmware are big influences on the final performance. The 35E can handle enough amps to run the GTR well while providing maximum range and longevity. On a side note, the fluctuations in the GTR's battery % are a communication error between ESC and remote and not an indication of the actual battery performance. We suggest the owner reaches out to his local Evolve service centre as we will be able to provide a fix for the % issue.

I am on my 3 board. Carbon 1 board. Carbon gtr. And the Gtx. I live in Michigan and this sport is gaining ground fast. I would love to promote your board in Michigan. I get stopped seem more than I ride because people are amazed by its looks ..speed. And range. There are different grades to waterproof-ness, and I think it is rated relatively highly, IP65

one possible reason for temperature difference is that both board motors were actually built with the same voltage in mind. generally, motors will run at a higher voltage.

Well I pre-ordered mine. I live in California, Bay Area region. Can you talk about the truck and the bushings. The roads aren’t the best condition here. I tend to ride at higher speed and stiffer bushings. Being able to make turns, if there’s a big crack or pothole up ahead. Can’t wait to try it out!

I just was about to order ONSRA, but... belt driven is not available until end of July, so thats basically all summer is gone. Then looked for DD and I was a bit surprised that total price comes to 1.478 EUR... I dont understand how you can justify the price. For additional 170 EUR EVOLVE GTR can be purchased. Yes, ONSRA on paper has better specs, but EVOLVE is premium brand with 2 years warranty compared for 180 days (with by the way again EU law for this board and no proven track of reliability...

Europe will take the longest because of the shipping but For any other countries we will be ready to ship in May already 😎 Still totally understsnd you. I also wanna provide the best warranty there is and for $1478 you get the full package. I’m not complicated about the warranty when you’re small you don’t wanna take too kany risks. It’s also saying it on my websites: Depends on what’s destroyed at the end even after the 6 months i still provide warranty!

Let me justify that really quickly, Evolve still has issues that would concern everyone if they knew about them, critical failures, in the remote and spontaneous braking engagement, full braking BTW, check the Reddit posts. More than one evolve rider has been spat out of the board because of this behavior... they will probably fix the board yes after you crash at full speed because the board disconnected or engaged the breaks.

Fabi please If I cant decide which board I should buy. If the ONSRA BLACK Carve Direct Drive or ONSRA BLACK Carve DUAL BELT . From the specs I understand the difference and I did right belt and direct drive board. I would like to know which motors are better in terms of survivability in long teram use (i am like 95kg :) )

Been sort of contemplating building my own board, I've got a Bamboo GT with a 10s4p but the motors heat up a lot, and one of my motors is a biiit broken at times. Very interesting to hear about the difference in speed and heat between roughly the same motors but different battery set-up? Is that right or is it more to do with the motors as well.

I have a gtr. There is something wrong with that gtr in video. I did 25 miles other day, right after ride I grabbed board by motors, little warm is all. End of my trip is uphill. This video does not represent my personal experience with the gtr at all.

Hope you don't hate me for this video 😅 It was a lot of fun and I will do it again VS a newer Version. (Hit me up if you have an AT Version in Zurich..)

Hey fabi you have to do the same test with the premium ONSRA AT vs one of evolve bamboo AT Gtr, so we can really see the main difference in price and quality

What is the weight difference between the 2 riders? Would have been interesting to switch riders and see how the board performs this way too. The Evolve rider looks much taller than Fabian. We could be taking about 10-15kg.

Hi there, I like your boards and watched a few of your videos, but I already have a ride1up board (10s3p - 47kmh) which I am happy with, especially cause cops can’t see and hear it on first view 😅 I would buy one of yours if I wouldn’t have one already. But I have had an accident where the board was going under a car and broke. Since you are testing a lot of boards, do you maybe can help me out with a cheap longboard only (can also be used already)? I am also from Switzerland in terms of shipping.

I think you could firstly release a casual version of the BLACK CARVE and after some months the Carbon version. Great vid! More of these kind of vids!

Yes Yes Yes! Make carbon fiber version as well please. Having options is always good and I will personally be buying 2 - 3 different 12s boards from you this year. maybe 2 belt and 1 inline-motors. Love your quality and passion. But please don't make them more expensive, as it is 1090 euro is already $2000 after conversion here in Nz!

Less maintenance and noise on the DD for a small torque/speed sacrifice. DD is objectively better and the future :)

I would be interested in the motors, i have a nice bamboo board and have used the evolve trucks and wheels , dual flipsky vesc with VX2 remote. I have not tested my motors for heat but since you are pleased with yours could you hook me up with a pair.

can you please compare your ONSRA BLACK Carve with the ONSRA BLACK Carve Belt? For me i cant decide which should i use. i like the Hubs, silence and less visible, but im afraid how close it fits to the Ground. if i decide for the Hub motors, i would use it with the 115 rubber or 120 cloud wheels. Ist it possible to upgrade to 150mm AT wheels later? and will the Motor still works with the Hub motors >> ithink torque will go down, but offroad i need torque more than speed.

This Evolve Board has a problem with the battery and the rims are too tight. An Evolve GTR normally never has a volt breakdown. Top speed is not a quality comparison, Evolve made a speed limit not for fun. That is for the safety of customers. Almost all of our customers like me usually drive around 35 km / h. The driving performance and feeling is what matters.

If you actually tune it you can get 60-70kmph with it but it does heat up a bit more this is def faulty

You should add a A T system not too large like the 175mm if you do that I’ll order one of your boards.

The only reason I can think for the evolve motors to get much hotter is that the board must have a 10S battery. The lower voltage requires higher current/amperage to match the 12S battery in power, and more current means more heat. Higher voltage means better efficiency

Your board is great seeming. I have a gtr though. There is something wrong with his board or its not actually in Gtr mode. I do long rides with much better hill climbing than that and my motors get warm but definitely can touch them...

Sorry to burst your bubble but Evolve doesn’t like their customers going full throttle. Full throttle causes over heating and battery sag. Evolve suggests you take it easy, really? Their boards are not fast or powerful and they want you to take it easy?

Yes i ship to the US and Canada. Always improving everything i have. The only fear for my customers is to have an old board within 6 months 😅 Imo it’s important to always improve and try to get the best out of a product. I wouldn’t feel comfortable to say this is the best if it’s not.

I’m also in The Netherlands, I’m debating whether or not to move to Berlin this year but if I don’t I’ll buy one of these boards as it’s better than evolve in every way for a much cheaper price. Evolve just seem to be 100% all about the money even though some of their problems are extremely dangerous like just randomly cutting out and throwing you off the board.

His Evolve board was years old and fabis prototype was brand new, its only normal for the engines to start failing. They need to suck up? they never took this issue as an unfavorable comparison the fuck? Stop hallucinating child, Evolve has 1500watt motors while Onsra uses 1300watt

I have a GTR too. Its climbs hills with ease and doesn't heat up to the level he was suggesting. So he either isn't reviewing accurately ( I like Fabi, hopefully that's not it) or that gtr has motor issues.

Evolve is a Pos company! I bought a carbon gt and swapped everything out with. Vesc system and larger motors and added a Sony battery pack and my god my board is a monster hitting 34 mph with 175mm wheel’s

if u cant touch it for 3 seconds, its most likely more than 65 deg. celsius

please make them more waterproof and more durable and option with 170mm and bigger battery

Yes, sorry sometimes i miss replies.. Belt board is in production and will ship by the end of May just Europe takes longer. DD motors arrive in Europe next week 😁

I don't think you should make a carbon fiber board because most people won't be able to afford it.... Personally I hope the Onsra prices drop. Great video tho 👌👍

For clarity you should switch board with your opponent and check performance.

If you REALLY wanted to make your boards shine, find a battery manufacturer that makes a 13S battery and step the voltage down to 12S for the ESC. This would eliminate almost all voltage sag because the battery can supply a higher voltage than what the system runs on. Boosted uses a 13s2p battery. I’m pretty sure they do what I’m explaining because their boards at 1% battery still have full top speed and acceleration and it is a fantastic feeling

Boosted use LifePo4 cells, which have less voltage; that's why they can do 13s. With regular Li-Ion batteries 13s is too close to the 60V max the ESCs can handle. You risk having to replace a lot of ESCs for customers if you sold a board with 13s.

@@rusinsr Those cells are in the Boosted standard range battery. The extended range is 54.4 volts (on the battery label) = 4.2V per cell if 13S. If you wanted that voltage with LiFePo4 you'd need 15S

Depends on the wheels! With the 115mm we think 58kmh but put it on 56kmh for now until i know it 100%

Well i was riding it a couple times already and know Evolve well. Just thought it’s not good to ride another brands board and compare it at the same time. After all it’s not an in depth comparison

It seems like you built a board only to be slightly better than evolve. Knockoff. Specs are almost exactly the same as evolve ?? Original thought is where evolution occurs
