I remember the mobile home renovation y'all did in Indiana. If viewers weren't aware of those videos, they are amazing to see. I can't wait to see all the positive changes you do to this mobile home. I know it is going to be rock solid to live in when you are finished. Palmetta bugs are just a prevalent insect in the South. Rain runs them out of the bark of trees and they come, unfortunately, into homes and other structures sometimes.

It would be tempting to dig out that rose and take it home. But curb appeal will be important when you go to sell or rent . I see quality control is still there keeping an eye on you. Great demo Doug and Ashley .the scaffolding was the trick for sure. I love a great rain storm ,thanks for sharing that too. 👋 Hi Belle and Maverick.

Once the kitchen is out you will have a really clean work area. Now is the time to re level the home using a laser level to check for low points in the floor. Consider a bedroom at each end of the mobile because when both bedrooms are next to each other the hall cuts down the size of the bedroom. Plus a hall is wasted space. Then the kitchen and living room can be all open. The island in the kitchen can be space to eat at as well. Then no dining room table is needed. Plus the bathroom and kitchen can be next to each other less costs to run plumbing. The run for hot water is shorter too. If possible 6” of rock wool wall insulation and 8” of roof/ ceiling insulation rock wool plus double pane windows will really help will cooling costs. The problem with fiberglass it breaks down overtime with moisture in it and rock wool is much better.

I think Doug gets bored. He got this property & Ashley's car so he can "round robin" depending on what mood he's in, what supplies he has on hand, and how ambitious he feels that day. LOL I know that they bought this property bcuz it was a really good deal and will make them some quick income for their other projects. And maybe even as a tax deduction that is needed so you can reduce what Uncle Sam takes from you.

I know how bad such places can be. The wife and I just finished rebuilding a renter's house with everything busted up. We had carpet (what was left of it) walls, ceilings, doors, pluming, electrical, you name it, we had to refurbish everything and scrape the popcorn ceilings off and repaint the entire house from top to bottom including all doors, dry wall and trim. Even the siding and garage door opening was rotted needing to be totally rebuilt with another garage door install. The smell when you walked in near about knocked you out as well. Why people do such things is beyond me... Welcome to the sad real world of how some people live.

You have the wild rose bush that came back. Domestic rose bushes are grafted to wild rose bushes because the domestic buses have more blooms as well as a bushier plant. Because it's now the wild bush, it will always be scrawny with small flowers. The flowers are there only to produce seeds to propagate more wild rose bushes.

I am amazed at how you are all able to work without the benefit of AC in this Florida climate. I just walk my dog down to the end of the block and back and am roasting ... and yet you are able to put in a full day of hard work. Those ceiling pull down shots are so much fun! Glad that this new dumpster has lower sides so Ashley will be able to be strategic with her loading technique.

Your thunder storm brought a memory back to me. When I was a child, and the thunder scared me, my Granny said it was just God moving the furniture. 😆

I'm so happy that you have a good respirator, I cannot imagine the nastiness, in the air, in that house as you demo. Great job!

I have nevr seen a carpet so saturated with dog pee that there was large areas that were black with yellow border. That had to really smell nasty. Good work Doug.

To help with the smell put bicarbonate of soda in containers around the room and it will absorb the smell...even sprinkle on that carpet thing...blessings and love keep ❤ 👍
