Filipino kids are so cute to watch smiling, laughing, and having fun!

I think I could not leave this neighborhood without cracking a tear, they certainly make you feel good, the joy they bring to you... omg I am falling in love with those people

Watching this brings back memories of when i was in The Phillippines back in 2016 - 2017, i remember going to Baguio and it started with a small boy reaching out to shake my hand, before i know it, i was swamped by a bunch of smiling kids who couldn't believe how tall i was hahahaha It was a very heartwaming moment for me. I found the kids to be very friendly, poilte, humble and respectful, this was a great video to watch

I lived in a "squatters area" for around 5 years in Angeles City, it's a long story, involves a woman, need I say more!!! Anyhow, the friends I made there are STILL my friends to this day, some of the best people I've met here without a doubt. That said, there was a kinda crazy under current beneath the mostly "normal" vibe, I saw stabbings, a kidnapping, brothers knocking each other unconscious with full liter bottles of Red Horse, darkness combined with alcohol brought out the darker side......so don't be complacent, peace.

When I lived in the Philippines I go to places like that that's what I enjoy I love street food I love the people in August moving back to the Philippines

The best thing in the Phills is to stay away from the overpriced touristic areas. I only have been in Davao, GenSan and Saranghani area.. But this was the best expirience i had in my 3 travels to south phils so far. See and talk with people in the daily life there is so interesting and i recommend the nightmarkets with the lovely Streetfoods :)

I guess that as most Filipinos speak English, they can interact with you more than other SE Asian countries? Also I think that you are gaining more subs from the Philippines as they speak English?

Was out in the provinces a couple of years back at a town festival with Mrs. Rick. A bunch of 10-12 year old kids came up and the brave one in front started a conversation with me. It went something like this... Kid: Hey Joe, can I have 100 pesos? Me: Bakit? (Why) Kid: Something to eat (points to the chicken kabab stand) Me: Hmmm, masarap na manok. (delicious chicken) Kid: Can I have a 100 pesos, Joe? Me. Hindi, walang pera. (No, I have no money) Kid: Please, please? Me. ikaw ay nakakatawa (You are being funny) That pretty much ended the conversation, but every time we passed by that spot we could hear the whole bunch whispering that there goes the 'kano who speaks Tagalog. I never told them that I used about 90% of my Tagalog vocabulary in that one minute conversation. 😁😁

I have a question Adam (and apologies if this comes across as being a bit cynical) but if you were walking around the streets and through the neighbourhoods WITHOUT a camera in your hand, would you still get the same reaction as shown here? Would people be as friendly and kids so welcoming if they knew they weren’t appearing on a KZread vlog? Or would you just get ignored for being another Western tourist? Again, sorry if this comes across as negative and cynical (good vibes only here 🤗), but I can’t help but wonder if your having a camera and filming the interactions actually influences the type of reactions you get? And not just in the Philippines but other places too…
