I dont know how many people payed attention to clip from 32:50 to 33:20 where Sir has sung the descending and ascending swaras without any instrument with half note margin that too naming English notes, and when he reached the initial tonic that is c# and played tanpura, his c# and tanpura exactly matched, That is how perfect his voice is. It was difficult to explain this on my behalf also.

I never had the fortune to learn tanpura although I am learning music. I learned to play harmonium on my own and sitar at a basic level from a teacher. So grateful for this,

Sangeet provu, I am like Ekalabya disciple of you, you are unique as a total Guru. I lost my Guru Samaresh Choudhury in 2019,getting the news from Ustad Raza Ali Khan over messenger. Please maintain your you tube lessons to encourage Indian classical music and me also at my age of 62. Still I practice.

NAMASTE Mr Chakrabaraty, First of all, I want to thank you for this great service you are offering to me. WHY? Because I live very far from you. I live in Switzerland and here there is no teacher available. That's why I'm so thankful to that technology that makes this precious teaching available to me and many others. My question is : as the first string has to be replaced I was wondering if should change all the strings (as I didn't change them for many years) or if should change them all ? I tuned my ukulele It has four strings. I don't have a real tanpura. Is it better to use the electric or go ahead and use my ukulele which is tuned to my sa and pa?

I have a query or suggestion: The Tanpura creates a dominant atmosphere of सा, ग, प. The ग sound can be feebly heard when the drone decays. The Tanpura tuning is normally प सा प सा. My suggestion is why not tune the Tanpura as सा ग प सा. It should be a pleasing drone sound. Has it ever been tried and found unsuitable?
