Training for a cert gets you knowledge. You then use this knowledge to gain experience. You then show both at interview stage. This has the third effect of showing you can analyse where you are, where you want to go, how to get there, and get it done.
Great video. I think the important thing is not thinking you're done just because you've completed a course. The course should merely be the start of your learning process

Agreed you are never done if you take it like a proffessionel
In the UK most jobs ask for a degree, 5 years experience for an entry level position...

:( Probably LeetCode or HackerRank could help you, so when the ∞ years of experience s h|t comes out, you'll outplay recruiters in order to get that job.

A lot of the people in US at least that write job descriptions for web development don't know what they're talking about when it comes to what is needed. Apply anyway as long as you know/think you can get the job done. The worst they can say is no.
@danielstoddart

@@Loki_Dokie That's why in the US especially, you should always ignore lists of reqs and just apply anyway even if they're asking for something you don't have. There is simply no way to tell if these are actual reqs or if the recruiter wrote a wishlist or is even re-using a list of random reqs that don't actually have anything to do with the job.

Hi, I recently found the channel and have been getting a lot from the content so a big thank you for that. I’d be interested if you have any recommended, up to date, resources on Python testing?
Thanks for the advice
Thanks, love your videos
Good stuff as always.
Good video. Any tips in where I could do my first projects to demonstrate my skills?
Nice! I wouldn't have started my own Tech KZread channel if it wasn't for finding yours. Thanks a lot!
Hey ! what do you think of the specialization “programming for everybody”on coursera for Dr Charles ?
this one the best quality youtube channel i have ever seen
Giles... what are u think.. top 5 or 10 best most used common builtin functions in the python libraries ? can't wait to hear
thank you !
This is one of the best video of yours❤
Great content. Your videos are amazing. thank you. However, may I kindly ask. I recently just finished a data analysis course and looking for projects to solidify what I have learnt. Can you kindly recommend any projects. Thank you

You can download clean and unclean data sets for free and practice that way, at least thats what I'm going to do, I just haven't started yet. I got data sets I'll need and have sql server/xampp etc installed already, but I've been learning frontend web and tiring of the clusterf*** it is at times lol.
Really great video
Love your channel! Subscribed a couple Years ago. I’m actually struggling to take my python skills to the next level. What do you recommend for us middle of the road learners. The ones that know how to work with strings, files, build functions, understand scope, etc. i.e. know the basics pretty well but, maybe just need that next level? What would be a starting point for getting out of the “Intro to python” starter course “while loop”? Can’t find Ctrl-C, my Mental Processor is burning up from all the ways to install python, and concatenate 'Hello' + 'world'. Any recommendations?

Practice! Create projects that are useful for you, investigate how to use the packages you need for your projects and start coding. I've been doing this for a month and I've improved a lot.
I took my time to browse tech jobs, and most of the time a degree in engineering/maths is required/preferred. With thousands of fresh engineers graduating every year, how can someone with skills and certificates break into the market?
You also have a course on datacamp
I question the way these courses are advertised. I do data analysis and have for decades. I have a degree in the subject matter that I'm analysing and a degree in computer science. I use online courses to keep my skills modern, but I question the capacity for doing analysis with just the technical skill without the subject matter knowledge.
Certificates are only the way to showcase you are Interested in this technology and would like to grow in the same. In the interview if you showcase you really are capable and good learner then they can hire you at entry level.

What abou CCNA and Python official exams?
Sir any book of Beginners to advance Terminal commands
I was about to say that isn't true I know some who have done just that but then you reversed direction there, definitely need to build up a portfolio of work demonstrating the knowledge.

so... contributing in an open source project and offering our services? are there other ways to get pre-employment work experience i don't know of?

@@GeoffryGifari yes help out family business or find very easy projects like a baggel shop you create the website and infrastructure for orders. This will make a very interesting conversation with business owners and you get hired by networking. Any project that helps make money online even if it's a very measly amount still shows you're a capable programmer that has potential.
Dear Sir, I want to thank you for all those videos you made and for your magic explanations.. please help me ! I am 38 years and I have a phd in biomedical engineering and I want to shift my career into data science and machine learning. Do you think I can do this at this age ? BIG THANKS

Find a way of combining your knowledge of Biomedical Engineering with ds/ml. That's usually a good way to find opportunities
hi and appreciate your favour go deeper and explain what project exactly might I involve myself?
here in uk, 50% of baristas are graduates just saying
Well if you allready have a degree and experince the certificated can help change direction. Atm I am going from embedded software development to data sceince. My roadmap is data analytics first Then database design and sql. Think I want to be able to do a 5 normalisation. And lastly a 1 year master degree in data science.

Certification is not a certificate. Certification has more weight
👏
Any qualification, be it a degree or an online certificate, is nothing more than a piece of paper. Real world evidence of what you can do says a whole lot more.
