OneShot's Full Original Soundtrack with RAIN SFX - Perfect for Relaxing/Studying

Музыка

I hope you guys like it, if the original creators of Oneshot have a problem with this being uploaded here, let me know and I'll take it down :D
The Oneshot Soundtrack is made by Nightmargin (Casey Gu), featuring Eliza Velasquez and Michael Shirt.
You can buy the soundtrack here:
nightmargin.bandcamp.com/albu...
You can also buy the game here, as well as the soundtrack:
store.steampowered.com/app/42...
OneShot is a surreal top down Puzzle/Adventure game with unique gameplay capabilities. You are to guide a child through a mysterious world on a mission to restore its long-dead sun. The world knows you exist.
Oh, someone is actually reading the description?? Well, let me tell you something then in return!
I'm currently reading a book called "House of Leaves" and I might actually listen to this while doing so. My interest in rain music sparked from my sudden obsession with browsing Ambient music on Bandcamp. I first started listening to this: • Rainy Day at the Coffe... and found out the music actually made me concentrate a lot better as well as making it a more relaxing experience.
I read the book a bit, then looked at the page number. WHAT? I've been reading 170 pages?? I then looked at my phone (where I played the video) and quickly found out I've been sitting there reading for two hours straight. The sun has departed and the moon was shining and I didn't even notice. How funny. Then, I started listening to these rain videos on KZread while studying. Made myself go up two grades! Fantastic.
I did try last year to listen to the notorious, iconic "lo-fi beats - beats to study/relax to" mostly because of the meme. I didn't like it, too much focus on drums made me feel disorientated from what I was studying, making it pretty pointless.
Anyway, the process of making this was quite easy. I opened FL Studio, assigned all the tracks to my mixer and added a filter as well as some reverb to the songs, lowered the volume a bit and added the rain. The result was this. The video on the other hand was just as easy, maybe even easier. Found this gif that was listed as a screenshot on Steam, which I thought was weird because I don't remember that animation being in the game. So unfortunately, I do not know the source. I apologize.
If you are the creator of the gif, contact me on e-mail or in the comment section :)

This phrase really meant everything to me because it’s quite true. The idea of how If something really changes you in that moment, it’s still eventually going to be moved on upon. Niko is still someone that I’ll always remember, even if they’re just visible through my world machine. My story, like thousands of others, will most likely never be to be told and passed down. It’s something I’ll always remember and carry with me, even if the details may blur over time. It will still remain a part of who I am.

Everything someday will be destroyed, not matter of what, small or big, durability or not, doesn't matter. Same to stories - they will be forgotten someday, everyone not gonna remember it anymore for some reason, we can see ancient things in our world, some of them we don't know nothing about it.

It's really not that short a game if you go back a few times to play through the Solstice and Post-Solstice routes, and even then there's a couple of mods on Steam for the game which add new story elements and endings to it that are incredibly well-thought out! One of these mods is called Aftermath and it acts as a fan-made sequel to OneShot!

Heh. Mistake of spoiling a story game. I've done that mistake on two of my favorite games. I spoiled myself both Undertale and Deltarune. Omori too and Outer Wilds. Oh god there is so many. At least I got to learn from these mistakes, and did oneshot last year with no spoilers. It takes a bit of practice before you get the "it's good stuff" feeling and just turn off the video and throw the game to wishlist. It just takes some experience. Experiences lost.

EDIT: I'm gonna keep track of the number of times I listen to this over the semester. Rn, we're at 23. (5/8/2023) (Started: Fall 2020) Can I just say how thankful I am for this? I absolutely love this game's OST, and to have it all in one video means the world to me... There was a video sorta like this that I used to turn on and just play on loop for hours on end, doing homework late into the wee hours of the night, just without the rain, and with a bit harsher of cuts, but I can't seem to find it. I fear it was deleted... this video doesn't have the same memories attached to it, but the music does. So thank you, seriously, for uploading this. :) And thanks to the composers who made this to begin with :') EDIT 2: So, there was a big gap in my listening to this video, from early October to early December 2020. Online classes have been a big challenge for me, as I'm sure they have been for a lot of other people. My motivation has been at an all-time low, and over that past month, it was awful trying to get any work done whatsoever. As a normally straight-A student (not saying that to brag, but to give background), there's a chance that I won't be finishing this semester with an A in any of my classes... so, if on the off-chance you're scrolling through these comments trying to distract yourself from your work as the music plays in your headphones, the weight of classes, work, etc. building up in the back of your mind, I want you to know that you're not alone. As I write this, I am at that point now. I'm not sure how things will turn out for me. But as with myself, you will get through this. Just push a little bit harder for a little bit longer. And don't be too hard on yourself. :) (Early Decemeber 2020) EDIT 3: We're back at it with the spring semester now. I... ended up getting a C in my favorite class, which hurt. A lot. Changing the subject to now, though, I'm taking 6 classes, one of which admittedly scares me (biochemistry), but we're going at it all the same. Wanted to remind anyone reading this that you're amazing, and if you're starting the semester, finishing it, or anything in between, stay strong and keep fighting. :) (Late January 2021) EDIT 4: And now I had about a month's hiatus listening to this. I actually have an entire playlist I listen to, and I thought I might try that for a while. The month has been fairly productive, although there has been an added struggle of tensions with roommates. It's... certainly not helping my drive to accomplish tasks. It seems as though if one thing goes wrong, they all do, anymore. But I keep telling myself: this too shall pass, and I will emerge victorious on the other side. I just have to keep charging forward. If you're reading this and going through the wringer as well, have faith that, as with all things, this storm has an end, even if you can't see it. (Early March 2021) EDIT 5: And here we are with the fall semester. Jeez it's been a while since I was last here. I'm a senior in college now, and I've been especially thinking a lot about what the future holds. I know my next step is grad school, but I don't know where, or truthfully, what I'll be studying. It's difficult to think so much about the future, though, when I'm absolutely swamped with classes. 7 this semester, in addition to an internship and an unofficial job, all the while trying to compose music for a video game that I myself am making. Gosh, I'm thankful for OneShot, since it inspired me to start making games in the first place... but it feels like I'm doing too much, ya know? Like I can't exactly focus on everything at once because it's too unrealistic to do so. But I'm too committed? to drop anything, it seems. Meh, perhaps after college, things will slow down in that I won't have as much work. But at the same time, I know I won't be here as often... Oh yeah, I told you all I would give an update on the summer. I interned at a wildlife rehab place nearby, which was a lot of fun (but insanely challenging)! I got to be a primary caregiver for a baby raccoon, and I learned so much about animals and caring properly for wildlife. It's crazy how, even when I wrote the last update, I had no idea, no intention of doing anything involving caring for wildlife, but... things can change instantly. This is one of my longest updates, and if you're still here, thank you for reading. Why? I don't know. But I hope you got something out of reading my story. I do plan to add more, but this is all I really have for now. Oh, actually I almost forgot. The ending to edit 4 is a bit empty, but I can say looking back that indeed things will pass. :) Just a month and a half later after posting that update, my life got significantly crazier (but in a good way), with summer job, internship, etc. offers rolling in and everything falling into place for my summer. It was good, and I can say that I'm genuinely happy to have weathered the storm, to make all of those good things seem that much better. Keep fighting; if you're going through it right now, it'll always pass and something better will come about. (Mid September 2021) EDIT 6: I wonder how much space I have left in this post? Well, here's an update for you regardless... So, I'm in the last semester of undergraduate. In less than three months, I'll have two college degrees (biology, Spanish), which is so surreal to think about... But I'm excited for the future! I just finished a week of interviews for a Ph.D. program studying ecology & evolutionary biology, and as far as I can tell, I think they went well. Not sure when I'll find out the results, though. I've stopped coming to this video as frequently because I actually bought the OST, but occasionally I'll get a comment notification or something and I'll be reminded to come by and give this a listen. This is actually my 20th listen! Woo! The reason I'm here is, the OST for this game is really getting me in the mood to write a short story about a dream I had last night. It's very odd and distant, but it felt so vivid at the same time... idk. If you're interested in reading it, I can post something here. But... Okay, perhaps I should also talk about last semester some more. I... burned out. About halfway through the semester, I went into this sort of depressive episode, and it caused my attendance in classes to tank. Among other things. It was legitimately one of the most difficult and scary points in my life, because I could see my grades tanking, but I couldn't find it in me to do anything about it because I was so burned out with EVERYTHING going on. It ended up with me getting a C (mostly due to attendance) in one of my classes and B's in a couple others. I'm thankful that some of my profs were as understanding as they were. So, this semester, I've implemented resting days into my schedule, days where I do absolutely nothing outside of going to class. It also helps that my classes are (mostly) fairly laid-back this semester, and there's significantly less reading. If you're reading this, I cannot stress the importance of rest enough. If you're going nonstop and find yourself going into a tailspin, please stop doing things for the day. Just for the day. Try not to let the pressure get to you of there being work to be finished. Just... do nothing. And then start on small things the next day. Build back some momentum, but above all, please take breaks for yourself. It's better to not do something one day every week or so than... burn out and do nothing every day for several weeks. Trust me. ._. (Mid February 2022) EDIT 7: It's been interesting getting all these responses to my posts. I see every response, and it reminds me of the major growth I've experienced. To give all an update, I did get accepted into the Ph.D. program from above. I'm now starting my first year, and things have gone well so far. It's been a major change in what I'm used to, but slowly, I'm getting to a place where I want to be. Adjustment has been going well, and I actually love living where my program is located. The only reason I'm here now, actually, is because I've hit a string of just bad days and I needed music that wasn't super over-the-top on either end (joyous or tragic). Just... something quiet to sit and think in. None of the bad days have happened because of me, they've all been external things, and I suppose sometimes things just line up like this. Probability and whatnot. I'm going to continue pushing through, though, under the unshakeable feeling that this is what I'm meant to do. I'm just tired... (Mid September 2022) EDIT 8: Not much to say, I'm stressing out because of something I have coming up that I shouldn't be stressing out about, but here we are. Impostor syndrome sucks. I'll try to respond to the comments I haven't yet (I think there are a few), but not now. (Mid March 2023) EDIT 9: I've hit the character limit, so check the replies for a continuation of this. :)

Oneshot just gives a different vibe compared to every other game. It makes me feel at peace, yet unsettled. Its heartwarming yet tragic. Its a beautiful disaster of a game. It also uses meta and fourth wall breaks in such a creative way, other games do it, but dont use it as effectively as Oneshot. And i'll admit this: Oneshot was one of the first games i ever cried to. I got so attached to the characters, and Niko? I felt like he was a friend, not just a video game character. A friend stuck inside another world, and burdened with a choice that would impact us both. Its such a unique experience, i cant explain it, it just feels so, perfectly made. Ive played games with meta and great lore and story , they were great games. Ive played games with the best graphics, they were great. Ive played games with really fun gameplay. Ive played games where you can unleash your creativity, they were great. Ive played battle roya- (ok maybe they werent so great). But Oneshot just feels like a unique experience, i honestly cant explain it. And if i could explain it it wouldnt make sense All i can say is its more than a masterpiece, its a unique emotional rollercoaster of friendship and tragedy

Story-likes I guess? It’s a unique type of game that seeks to tell a story using a game, instead it uses every unique parts of video games being a medium to acolmplish it. Such a story could not be told in other mediums, or even most games, because they place something above the story. Not here though.

I have never once played this game, but I remember watching Markiplier react to it, and that left a mark on me. It was so sad at the end and I couldn’t help but wonder if there really was a way to change how it ends, it turned out nearly 3 years after I watched it, I looked back at the game for nostalgia and found an entirely new path for the ‘’Solstice’’ ending (I think that’s what it’s called) it was so different and crazy that all the ways that it broke the 4th wall were very connecting to the player. The game is so different than most other games, along with its simple yet powerful soundtrack. This video does it justice. This game will always be a powerful memory and I hope I never forget the impact it had on me. If you’re reading this, thanks, it’s nice to pour out your feelings once in a while

I met a friend on discord, he was from indonesia and had a lot of problems, and i was from mexico, we were very far away, and had different time-zones, but we still meet at one vc, and chill listening to this music while doing our homework, make drawings and chat about our problems, it's been almost 3 years without doing our tradition again, his phone broke, and i don't know why, but he managed to talk with me from his Dad's phone, and had to go for almost 2 years, we recently started talking again, and we hope to do our tradition again. Thanks for the video PartyThePlatypus, i'll always save it in my heart. :)

I got to finish the game today on my 3rd session, from like second half of Glen.Loved the story, characters, ambience, intereactions of Niko with eveyrthing around, whole atmosphere.I was not expecting the twist in the ending nor the grip it would have on me...I'm glad tho that I played the game when Solstice was already in, so I got to manage to play it right after the ending after some reading few files on my PC. I would still love the game, but something felt...wrong without it I was teary from beginning of Solstice run , from Niko "remembering, but not", calling my name coming out of bed, being upset about me; to coming to terms with the surrounding situation, understanding I want both Niko and world safe; seeing Niko being brave in the library wanting to fight for their world; to balling my eyes out at the end when we had to part our ways, forever... I will remember you, Niko, and greatly miss you...Hope you have the comfy life with your Mama, and best pancakes on your birthday!

I love getting attached in videogames. I do it all the time. I get attached to my pokemon, to my Stardew Valley friends, to Undertale characters, to the main cast in Omori, to my partner in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon... And Oneshot is a videogame that not only makes it easy to get attached to the main character, it wants you to grow fond of them. I remember playing the demo with my horrible computer that would sometimes turn itself off, so I was fearful of that troughout my whole playtrough, and it only made me love Niko more. I also remember literally talking to them, and one of the first things I said was: "I promise I will get you home". So when I was faced with THAT choice, I instantly knew what I had to choose. Then the Steam version came out. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be different, I just bought it so I could play it again and to show support to the creator, so I was amazed discovering that it was a better version. I loved everything about it, not only Niko, also the world and its people. Silver became my second favorite character, because Niko had to be the first, because she was just so different. In a world full of hopeful people, who didn't mind giving the burden of being a messiah to a child, she questioned the fact that a kid had that burden, and she also had a trait that I hadn't seen: hopelesness. She literally said that she didn't think the world could be saved. I loved her so damn much, even more when I unlocked her backstory by showing Kip the pendant she gave me. Then I finished the game, again choosing Niko, who had become like a little sibling to me, over that world, but not without sadness. I didn't know Solstice was a thing. I just left the game and, when I got a new computer, I said: "You know what? I'm going to play Oneshot again, I have the chance!". And oh boy, did I get the surprise of my life when Niko said my name after waking up. I enjoyed that ending so much, finally being able to save everyone, to bring hope to both Niko and the world, including the World Machine, which, still to this day, is my favorite videogame antagonist, just like this game is my favorite videogame of all times.

I wouldn’t really use the word antagonist to describe the world machine sure it was a bit creepy at times but in the end it was just trying to protect niko cuz they were the only thing it thought was worth saving it knew of it’s existence a computer program and knew everything else was fake so it was being antagonistic towards us as the player the one who ended up bringing niko back to the dying world it was trying so hard to get them out of Also the added strain of it knowing that it failed it’s one purpose it put another living being in danger and also purposefully messed itself up and ended up pretty much destroying itself from the inside out knowing it had failed the one only thing it was programmed to do really threw it into a downward spiral of despair and in turn making it that much more determined to save niko After everything it had done saving niko was the only thing it could do to somewhat make amends for everything it had done wrong after putting so many other peoples lives in danger it decided that saving one was the only way to be of use and it was determined to do that at any cost In a way the world machine is kinda just like niko alone in a dying world that it tried to save but couldn’t until the end the real only difference is that it never had someone like us they did at one point but it was abandoned further cementing how much of a failure it felt like so really it was just a sadder version of niko that ended up never having anyone to support it until in the end the only reason it got the happy ending it was designed for was because we reached out to it finishing the job the author started and fixing the broken machine Anyway I just finished the solstice ending for the game I haven’t had much time to think it over so this is just what I understand (which isn’t much really) I’m sure I got some thing wrong or maybe misunderstood some things but I just wanted to point out why I don’t think the world machine should be considered as an antagonist In any case thanks for taking the time to read this very long comment in case you didn’t tl;dr the world machine isn’t antagonist Thank you and have a nice day afternoon or evening

@@Aranbdomnobody An antagonist is the character who opposes the protagonist. If we see the actions of The World Machine at the end of the first run, when they try making Niko believe the game is over, we could take that as the character opposing our goal. If the player is looking to save the world and not Niko, The World Machine is an antagonist to them, since they're both trying to stop the other. Being an antagonist wouldn't make them a villain, it's just a way to refer to a type of character. In fact, I have seen stories in which the protagonist is the bad guy and their antagonist the good guy. A character doesn't need any sort of evil to be an antagonist, just like being a protagonist doesn't guarantee the character is a good person. The World Machine isn't bad at all, I simply think they sometimes serve that narrative purpose.

This game was always under my radar but I never tried it until today and dear lord I should've played it a long time ago. I played Undertale, Omori, Everhood and some other games with great stories, but this one has a special place to me, I can't describe it with words, it's just a completely different feeling from what I experienced in my videogame experience so far. From the bottom of my heart if you haven't played this game already, stop what you're doing, don't watch a playthrough of it and instead go play this game. You will not regret it

I've come back to oneshot a good number of times, playing it every couple of years during points of stress in my life where I want to relive it again. This game will always hold a special place in my heart, and I'd have it no other way. Undertale may have blown up, the beginners guide tackled issues that I face, and I have many games I've played more, but oneshot still holds this place in my heart.

For me, as a creative person, these works of art are incredible. I really like how the composer embodied his feelings in his works about each scene or event, this feeling is difficult to convey, it's just incredible! I think those who are engaged in any kind of creativity will understand me. By the way, this composer is one of those (whom I have seen) who so sincerely conveys his feelings. And, in principle, the whole spiritual atmosphere of the game... incredible.. unique and incomparable. The game "Oneshot" is the only game in which the feelings of their creators are conveyed uniquely, this game is different compared to others, and this makes it what it is now. This work will remain in the hearts of her fans for a long time and strengthen the universal memory of her. I don't know anything about the situation in the community, but I think it's worth supporting those who are working on content for this game. In general... I think.. I have expressed all my thoughts about this game. In general, I would like to play this game, but, unfortunately, there is no opportunity, so I will not be able to fully plunge into this world of creativity. (By the way, if there are errors or "incomprehensibility", I apologize in advance. (My English is bad, huh)). You know, I really like to study every soundtrack of this game on a synthesizer...

man. i bought this game on a whim because the steam reviews were good and i was bored. what an incredible experience, i expected nothing and came out with one of the greatest gaming experiences ive ever had. its up there with half life, portal, super metroid, and dark souls for the games that really amazed me in my life. i have never been captured by a narrative driven game before or since. such a gem. the only game that i can remember doing something similar is a game called starfetchers, which also is an indie game of a similar artstyle. idk if its something about the atmosphere/music combo or what but damn it really hits.
