I play this song at least once a day. It inspires and energizes me, as well as expressing my beliefs and life so far. At almost 92, I have plenty of broken bones, but I not only lived, I've thrived. I was caregiver to my husband, who recognized me and was happy and cheerful to the end at 96 years old. We had so many adventures together. Blessed with good health, I still have the most wonderful adventures with my family, traveling so many places and doing and learning so much. I'm planning this summer's adventures already. I even have a picture of myself holding up my full glass to the sun setting over the beautiful ocean. I have no regrets and much to be thankful for. Raise a cup. Cheers.

if i could sing i would sing this at my grandads funeral. he lived. like in the song 'i saw so many places'. he did he saw lots of places. he did so much. he had his allotment for 50 years, went on holiday several times a year and always smile. he didn't talk much, which is because he was nearly completely deaf in both ears but he joined in, especially at christmas. he took me and my little sister to a panto every year with my grandma, his wife and stayed even though i doubt he could really hear it. then we'd go for a meal with my parents afterwards he and my dad, his son, would argue about who would pay the bill. and he never let life get in the way of living. he never complained, even at the end of his life when he was in agony. he lived, he really did. rest in peace grandad, you lived and you did it all!

I have been struggling in school, with social situations, and depression. I felt helpless, worthless. I felt I could only give up at this point. For some reason, a voice inside of me told me to keep going. Anytime afterwards I heard that phrase, "Don't give up now! So much could be witnessed!" Soon, I felt... better. I felt encouraged to speak up in class, talk to everyone in my class. Now more than ever, I feel happy! I want to experience more, and have fun. My story isn't all that special, but I'm living the life I've always craved. Just remember, you are beautiful, not worthless, you are special. That voice lives inside all of us, listen closely to it. I guess I'm living.

Hate to disappoint but after that my mental health reached its lowest i got sectioned failed nearly all my GCSEs ended up on an art course in college, drug addiction, abuse relationship, sexual assault, kicked out of college.but yknow oh well.

This brings me so much memories. 2 year ago (5th grade) me and my class went to a camp. We had so much fun. We went up the mountains and we saw waterfall. We had so much fun everyday for 3 days. The last night was fun because we had to be asleep by 11 PM and had to wake up at 6 am. Me and my friends heard the teachers sleeping and decided to stay up🤣🤣 we stayed up till 5 am and didnt sleep. We had many pictures and decided to put it as a slideshow. I remember creaky that we were going to put another song but decided to pit this song at the end. I love this song so much and I love that. I feel that this song is incredibly underrated. Listening to it allows me to be completely filled with lots of emotions and it also sounds great. Also, glee brought me here.

I wish this version was the official one. The high note at 3:29 is just amazing.

My heart breaks for all those who opened their hearts here and told of their struggles. You are not alone. You had the courage to speak out about your troubles and you have helped others more than you can ever know. Stay strong.

I want to live so much more. Recently I’ve been down, and listening to this song helps me build up confidence and it helps me love myself. I want to travel, be with friends, fall in love, all of it. So when the time comes to say goodbye, I can say I Lived.

Whenever I feel really lonely songs like this REALLY help me feel so much better. It reminds me of a time when things weren’t so bad and when I was truly happy about life. I hope I can feel that feeling again someday!

This song was the song they used for my elementary graduation in 2020 when covid came and we couldn't have a graduation in person because of covid! It really brings back memories ❤

i lived guys. with all z suferings i pass sehara desert. wiz all z pain i cross medeteranean sea now I SAY I MAD IT NOW I SAY I SWEAR I LIVED....IT inspaiers me of zpeoples who are suffering. z it is so inispiratonal song peoples who are traying life to be perfect.

Music ain't nothing without the feels

for years of dealing with bipolar depression.. this is one of the only songs that makes me cry because im so happy with the life i had. it still to this day gives me chills and makes my day.

I've had the "I did it all" part stuck in my head for days and couldn't figure out what the song was or who the artist was and finally I remembered and I love this song so much! It makes me want to make sure that I do everything I can so that I can say I really lived.

Sad and happy at the same time for me

I needed this song so much when I discovered it. OneDirection really knows how to inspire and lift peoples' spirits. Right after my boyfriend broke up with me, when my teachers, mother and friends were going crazy this song just froze time and let me cry.

makes me think of my Grandma. she is a fighter can pass away at anytime and still gets out of bed and fights everyday. she has always been there for me and now that she needs me I'm not able to help her. I love you Grandma keep giving life hell and never give up.

This was my graduation song! I cried!

I traveled a lot this year. The most memorable traveling experience this year was my visit to Colorado. During the trip, I visited Red Rocks Amphitheater (The Album Cover). A friend who I met during my visit says I Lived is one of the few songs that makes her cry. Ever since returning from Colorado, this song has always been associated with that trip. I’ll always cherish those memories through this song, I miss her a lot :(

"Hope if everybody runs you choose to stay." I think that's a great wish for someone. It means courage and being brave and not being afraid when things get rough. And that's what we need most in life aside from love.
