I have a fold 5 and also ordered this but am skeptical it will replace my fold 5 because: Inner and outer home screens have to be the same, that sucks No wireless charge Portrait video 1080p only No 8k video No water immersion resistance No stylus support Neither color is overly pleasing I also feel I overpaid for it because of all those things mind you it was $ 1000 cheaper than my 1tb fold 5 here in Canada so still relatively cheap in the grand scheme of things

Deals!! At&t gave me $1000 for note ii trade in, effective I got fold 5 for $500 after trade-in and Samsung discounts, does oneplus do the same in NA?

I've been a OnePlus customer for years and I've been very satisfied

Good on OnePlus for showing the other manufacturers how it's done. Looking forward to the Pixel Fold's next gen as I like that form factor and design better.

Excellent review! I pre-ordered mine and it was only $1499 through the OnePlus app. I also traded in my iPhone 14 pro max for even more savings! And it will be here by next week!

Foldable are getting better and better. But the prices on them are to high for now. I don't think no phone should be over $1000.00.

I have a zF4 and this is the form factor I hope Samsung adopts at some point. As for THAT camera hump…..outrageous! Tempted, but I’ll stick with my ZF4 for another yr.

@@exarchoskanelis84 Most definitely. It is my first foldable, so I have no other point of reference to compare it to personally. However, I was of the view that the wider outer screen & smaller footprint compared to the ZF3 was enough for me to take the plunge; I am a Long time note user so large displays are my jam. Go and try it out If you can find one before splurging.

@@kapoornipun1 For me it's all about the software. Whilst Samsung do have an annoying habit of duplicating apps on android devices, they have nailed the large formfactor software experience, imho.

I have fold 5 but for me Oneplus fold one is not yet perfect. Its too far to compete with Samsung Folds.

I was tempted to purchase this, but the lack of wireless charging has me waiting until next summer to see what is released in the foldable world then.

there is a video with someone using the Oppo with the Backbone ... they're basically the same phone. the camera bump gives it a slight lift be cause of the usb placement, but according to the reviewer it works just fine.

Depends on two things, 1) Do you need a pen? Yes, then choose Samsung. 2) Would you mind carrying your phone like a TV remote? Yes, then choose OnePlus.

Almost perfect.... Just need the fingerprint scanner on the screen

Looks really good. That $1700 price tag though 😬 .

Even if you are rich, your wealth will go down needlessly on price tags that chew at your wallet/bank over time. Why have less leftover when you could have much more. For me though, i don't want to give it to them. I'd rather get from a another store where the local store, too, gets financially stable and keeps distributing electronics than purchasing it straight from the seller's multi billion dollar company's website.

Actually it's the same thing. Oppo Find N3 is customized for mainland China, and Oneplus Open is customized for other regions.

Samsung should be ashamed tbh, I love Samsung but the fact that the one plus folding phone comes with a charging brick, cord, and phone case in the box for slightly cheaper than the galaxy fold is pretty crazy

OnePlus has surely studied the Feedback analysis of other folding phones so that they make it better than the rest. Very well played in the game of business by OnePlus.👏

OnePlus Open or OPO for short. It's in the name. Yes, same device but this is for western markets. Key difference between both devices is the software experience.

They are the same, Oneplus is a sub-company of Oppo form day one.

Oppo made this device for itself and the OnePlus brand

I personally don't like the camera bump. It looks horrendous to me.

Does the inner display open fully like the Samsung fold or it remains slightly unfolded like Moto Razr 40 Ultra?

It would be nice to get a mask and a charger for that money, compared to Samsung, OnePlus looks nice

sorry but in one part of the video, when the light reflects on the screen, you can't see the crease of the screen much but you can clearly see the opening/closing mechanism of the smartphone through the screen. it's really ugly to look at.

I don't know why phone manufactuers have added an outer display? Like my own logic is that you buy the phone because of it's ability to fold. Why introduce another element of complexity when you can remove that outer display and add better battery, materials etc etc.

It isn't the first phone. This is actually a third generation Oppo Find N 3 from their sister company OPPO. Its merely the same phone, repackaged for the west.

Is it rootable ? I need a fold phone what can use magisk root for my network work business etc.. so can we root it? Can you test it?

I don't understand what beef oneplus has with wireless charging? This is a flagship and it it MUST come with wireless charging. I really wanted to get this phone but not having wireless charging kills it for me and I hope oneplus understands not having wireless charging on their phones will cost them alot of potential customers

I think its time for me to switch to foldables now. This phone looks gooooooooorgeous.

A few drawback 1. Not quite safe fingerprint sensor 2. NO Wireless charging !!

So they make such an expensive phone and skip a simple feature like audio-jack!
