This is no different than what Google has done with the Pixel Fold 2 and you praised them for it. they are just pushing back the release by 4 or 5 months to be able to use the latest processor rather than having to try to sell a $1700 phone with last year’s processor.

Bought mine for 1399$. Today is my second day using it and i love it.

This was devastating for me as I was looking forward to getting the OnePlus Open 2 with wireless charging. However, it seems we may be getting the Vivo Fold globally. I have Verizon and I want wireless charging so that would be good to me. Samsung is shafting us by being lazy with a full redesign.....

If it was a huge success, they wouldn't cancel it for a year. They are going to take more time to roll out a more durable product with better customer service response. Durability is the most important concern people have about foldables. The Open did not do well in that regard and it didn't sell well either. The Open and Pixel were supposed to put pressure on Samsung to build a completely different Z6. It turns out the pressure is about as heavy as a feather.

@@ChrisJohannsen I've rocked the Z Fold 5 since launch with ZERO issues. I've dropped it more times than I can count and it's held up as well as any phone I've had before. It's in a Spigen Thin Fit P case if u're curious.

It's crazy to wait for minor updates that cost a lot of money.

This sucks. Ive had the fold 2, 3 and now 4 for about a year and a half. I love samsung but tired of the same thing over and over. I love how the open looks and ive wanted one since launch but i use wireless charging daily. So ive been waiting for the open 2, unless the fold 6 is different than the past folds. Now its been pushed back 😢

I am not happy about this. I have the One Plus Open and was looking forward to the Open 2. Also, I have the Z Fold 5. I am looking forward to seeing if Sammy can do better. The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is releasing globally so that might be a way. I am curious to see what the new Pixel Fold 9 will come with. I won't be totally committed to Samsung like I was in the past with Z Fold 3, 4 and 5. The One Plus Open has opened my eyes to something just as good as the Z Fold 5 if not better in my opinion.

Oneplus should continue with foldables and just make it better.

I own oneplus open. Have been using it since it came out and love it! Have had them ALL mostly and this is the best foldable in the market. Too bad oneplus is holding back! Too bad!

I'll save you all 6 minutes of him rambling about nothing that's in the title. News was reported that the OnePlus Open 2 is slated for next year. This makes it so that they can use the latest chip set unlike the OnePlus Open 1 that missed out.

With the high cost of a foldable phone I don't think a lot of people will be switching from OnePlus, I'm glad they are not releasing a folding phone this year. I'm plenty happy with the Open.

Great ...now we are stuck with Samsung, less pressure on them to innovate their z fold...

open1 can still beat the zfold6 out of the water. So no rush for Oppo then.

I have the one plus open. I like new phones every year. I will probably go with Samsung again.

As a lover of samsung and its products.... Why does this sound like them flexing their muscles for a push back to have people buy their crapy barely updated z fold 6...... Google seems a bit unaffected by this. 😮‍💨 Ill have a little faith and not label them but unless the pixel is complete dog water ill not upgrade this year no matter the offer Samsung gives out of need for competition.... Im not mind dead when it comes to A.I so if a phone has it or not ill keep on moving ✌🏾

Very disappointing news. Was going to give one plus a try and looking forward to buy the fold 2, as I am disappointed with Samsung stagnating design and upgrades. I bet the samsungs fold 6 will relax and continue with their tiny, incremental design and upgrades😢

1+ open already destroyed even the coming fold 6, that's why no need to hurry about 1+ open 2.

As long as they put wireless charging in it and make it dustproof and fully waterproof i really dont mind holding on to my OnePlus open for an extra year 👍

IF this is true, this is unfortunate- as OnePlus Open owner, I love this phone! But I think they may be thinking of possibly doing a tri-fold device per the rumors. Time will tell.

Not beta testing. The OnePlus open was just a rebrand of the Oppo N find 3. So basically a third version. Holds up well

Here we go again with the foldable phones I feel like I'm on the Twilight zone repeating repeating repeating foldable foldable phones are a piece of shit you fold them you open them you fold them they crack they look ugly you know it's good enough to have a candy bar phone to hold in your hand solid like the S24 Ultra foldable phones no way anyway whoever likes them to each his own 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
